Roach’s Introductory Clinical Pharmacology by Susan Ford

Another student-favorite and best seller on this list is Roach’s Introductory Clinical Pharmacology . The author, Susan Ford, is a medical nurse practicing for over 40 years and has also been in the teaching career for 20 years. 

Even though the author intended this book for nurses, many medical students find this book extremely useful ! It features a practice-based approach containing descriptions about specific drugs and discusses how to disseminate this information to your patient . 

This book will introduce the basics of Pharmacology , like how drugs affect each system of the body. It also emphasizes the way people use prescriptions as pain relievers. 

You might find it interesting that it also discusses the utilization of medical marijuana . Keep in mind that the book doesn’t dismiss nor support its use, as we already know that some people use it for medical and recreational purposes.

Unlike other books, this one contains a breakdown of what you need to know about the subject without overwhelming you with the information. It is written in a simplified language so students like you can understand it better. 

Pharm Plash! Pharmacology Flash Cards by Valerie Leek

Although it’s not a book, these flashcards about Pharmacology can serve as an excellent studying aid . You can use flashcards to test your knowledge about medications and see whether you’ve understood your lessons. 

Learning all about medicine and allied health subjects can take up a considerable amount of time. Sometimes even by just looking at how much you need to study can be exhausting.
