Verified Quality

Prezi is a very popular online presentation platform that adds fun and creativity to the way people make and show their presentations, whether for commercial, academic, and other purposes. While other similar tools and applications use slides, videos, and animations to help users get their points across to their audience, Prezi leverages an innovative way for presenters to convey their points by zooming in and out, flying across the screen, and turning and panning at weird angles and directions among others.

With Prezi, presentations are no longer boring. They are dynamic and fun and can really grab the attention of the audience and keep them glued down to the end of the session. If used well, Prezi gives your presentation that cinematic feel no other applications can and increase audience engagement better than ever.

Overview of Prezi Benefits

Presentations can be boring and if you are not creative enough, you may end up having a dull presentation that will not keep your audience interested, or worse, fail miserably to get your point across. Prezi changes all that with its very unique way of making and delivering presentations.

Instead of slides and boring animation, Prezi injects fun and creativity to your presentation by using an approach where you can build your presentation on a wide digital canvas, with each point drawn spatially and presented by zooming in and out, panning across left to right and vice versa.

You have total control over the details, from font size, angles, images, etc. You basically present it the way you want it and not worry about logical sequencing or order of your points. Prezi comes with a load of templates that you could use and still give you the flexibility you need to make things interesting.

Prezi is very straightforward and easy to use, even for first-time users. The tool simply doesn’t have a complicated learning curve and allows all user types to create visually appealing presentations in a way slideshows just can’t replicate. This leads to audiences understanding your points better, whether you are aiming to market your product or service or convey an important message or just to collaborate.

PROS: I found out about Prezi in high school from an old teacher of mine as he wanted to use it presentations for us to give. Since using it, I never to look anywhere. Instead of just slide with glass-breaking sound, you can take your audience to a movie-like presentation with smooth transitions from one point to the next. It's really sleek and stylish. It's my go-to option for making presentations.

CONS: It goes through some learning curve. It took several presentations in order to get that desired feel in terms of timely transitions, colors, texts, and lumping them all together. Seeing Prezis on top of their web page makes it seem easy. But to be honest, those things took hours of work (including cutomized designs from artists). With a free or paid account, you can still end up with breathtaking content.

PROS: It's user friendly in that it's easy to learn quickly how to do something very basic.

CONS: The look and options are amateur. I'm not sure how this is better than power point. The customer service is practically non-existent. If you want access to your presentations outside of prezi you have to pay the premium pricing which is ridiculously high. The standard pricing is already far too high for what you get.

An awesome approach to making worthwhile presentations.

PROS: When it comes to Prezi, I'm the biggest fan. There's so many things that can be done with it. Your presentations come to life by including audio, movement, images, and so much more. It's simple enough to use. There are plenty of resources available to help you get a grasp of its functionality. We've been using it for creating presentations to potential customers as well as in business meetings, and for marketing strategy purposes.

CONS: I'm hoping you'd convert Prezi in a video format to be added to a site. With such functionality missing, you'll end up depending on your viewers to go through and click in each and every single one of the slide.

What do you think about this review?

This is a terrible product.

It’s all about visualizations with Prezi!

PROS: There's so much to love with Prezi. Its zoom functionality lets you visualize any presentation. Setting up a free account is easy and lets you set up your presentation almost immediately. It comes with pre-defined templates. Since it's web-based you get free acess to presentation anytime and anywhere --- hassle-free!

CONS: There were some things that I didn't like with Prezi. First off, there's only a few options for fonts and colors. There's no option to export to a PPT format. You'll have to go for the paid (Pro) version to get access to additional functionality. And you don't have the ability to print the created slides.

Prezi is great tool for creating presentations

PROS: I like that my presentations are stored online and they are easily accessible. It is simple and easy to use, even my students are using it to create presentations for the class. Their presentation is colorful and organized. Prezi is great tool for keeping my students engaged and focused on simple tasks.

CONS: I haven’t found anything to dislike about the Prezi.

A software with the ability to make dynamic presentations.

PROS: Prezi converts the usual boring PowerPoint presentation into an experience that engages and excites people. It's very appealing to look at. It does a wonderful job in getting an audience engaged. It gives users a chance to do something creative. Embedding video and audio clips can be done in a cinch. I like how you can do a lot of customizations with Prezi.

CONS: At times, it can be a bit overwhelming. It can take some time to get around the software. It's also hard to edit or go back to certain parts in the presentation. The biggest disadvantage wih Prezi is that it doesn't give you that much access in terms of ADA compliance. In an educational environment where accessibility is everything, this is one gaping hole seen in the software.

Simple and easy to use tool

PROS: What I like most about this software is its growth and flexibility. It allows you to create a story in various ways and various manners. I haven’t found other software that is as great as Prezi for creating animated presentations. It is easy to learn and use. Once you purchase the software you can use it in first 30 minutes. You can even watch its presentations so you can see what this tool can do for you. This is great tool for making simple and yet professional online presentations.

CONS: To be honest, this is not real “animation” software because it provides slide by slide presentations, but on the other side, you can create a video from these slides. Also, I don’t like that there is not option to use mathematical equations within the presentations.

A refreshing software worth using!

PROS: I've been using Prezi whenever I decide to bring in a preentation off-the-page. By that I mean looking lot less like a PowerPoint and more of a story-like approach. It's so simple to use. Customizations and presentation can be done easily. It also happens to be a lightweight software.

CONS: With its free version, any presentations you make with Prezi cab be seen in public. That's a no-no for me when it comes to pitching in any sales presentation. It would also pose a significant concern especially in concealment of client information from the public eye.

Great tool for creating presentations

PROS: This tool is easy to use and understandable. It provides great ways for expressing the creativity when creating a presentation for my students. They enjoy the presentations and its themes. I personally love the animation of the presentations when going from one section to other. You can even see the beginning and the end of the whole presentation as a preview and conclusion.

CONS: I don’t like that there is no easy way to access my students’ work and to share it with others like I can do with OneDrive or Google Slides. It would be great if they could include this kind of options so my students can work in groups.

I love working with Prezi

PROS: Prezi is wonderful software for creating presentations. I love that I can easily present my ideas to students. It is flexible and creative, it allows me to present my ideas and information in many different ways. Great tool for timelines and various types of information. I’m using it for single-source information. I can visually organize great amount of information and to put an accent to details if needed. I’m able to explore the content at my own pace and order.

CONS: It would be great if I could zoom even further in order to have more levels and details. Also, I would like to see more flexibility when it comes to colors and fonts. In addition, Prezi requires some time to get prepared and this means you cannot use it as last minute solution. Also, I cannot find the option to insert images directly from google image search now I have to download the image and upload it into Prezi.

A platform that gets things moving!

This software is amazing when it comes down to presentations!

PROS: I love how a user is able to make use of template or create presentations from scratch. It contributes to my creativity to the lessons I'm teaching. What's more, it does a great deal in engaging audiences unlike those seen in handouts and other presentation software. Students can't get enough of Pretzl in making presentations. It's really user-friendly.

CONS: At times, it can be a struggle do exactly what needs to be done. An ideal presentaion takes a bit of time to build. So it's important to be prepared to add a bit of time in the program if you're all about blowing people away with your presentations.

A completely different approach to making presentations.

PROS: I feel Prezi is relatively simple to utilize. I love the wide range of templates available. It's an intuitive software that makes things easy to arrange for visually appealing presentations. Its canvas zoom and rotation is awesome. It has the ability to export pdf/portable Prezi from the cloud.

CONS: When using its "free" mode, your presentations are made available to the public. It's better off to go for the paid version to ensure you get the privacy you needs for data. At times, the saved files in their cloud can't be spotted after downloading them.

A great PowerPoint alternative.

PROS: Prezi has billed itself to make presentations better. It's able to this through a visually-appealing manner. The possibilities are limitless compared to the restricted funtionality seen in PowerPoint slides. Audiences are guaranteed to be engaged. What's more, they'll be able to gain more knowledge with this than the traditional PowerPoint presentation.

CONS: It's currently an internet-based software. So if you're running a slow internet speed, expect your presentation-making process to be spotty. Some have complained of motion sickness and dizziness associated with Prezi. There's also a steep learning curve. So it may take some users a bit of time to get around it.

Give it a try

PROS: Prezi provides different view for creating presentation. We don’t have to use PowerPoint anymore because this tool provides unique experience and it can be used by everyone. Also, I like that is simple and easy to use.

CONS: I often use Adobe suite programs and when it comes to Prezi it needs more controls of InDesgin but on the other hand that would make the program more complex and less user-friendly.

Great tool to work with

PROS: Thanks to Prezi I can express my creativity when working on presentations. It more powerful than PowerPoint tool. It allows me to add aspects so I can make design programs (such as illustrator). I like that it provides various layouts for various types of business and purposes. In my experience this is one of the best design platform, it is different and unique tool.

CONS: Sometimes it’s hard to move things and to know what you are doing exactly. Also, I don’t like the idea that if I’m not using the paid version then all my presentations are public.

A really good tool for engaging the audience.

PROS: Thanks to Prezi, you now have the ability to make awesome presentations that gives you an edge compared to what other people are making. I like how you can zoom in to certain items you're disussing. And I like how you can easily zoom out when moving on the next topic. You're doing your job walking people through what you're presenting to them. Animations were never overwhelming and it helps engage your audience.

CONS: I don't consider this tool to be user-friendly. Building animations is a big pain. In addition, making zoom-in and zoom-out effects has been challenging since if you want to conceal certain items until you zoom in, you'll either include an action to a specific object to get it to show up. Or put the object at a very high level, so when you zoom out, you won't be able to see it. They could use additional transitions and animations.

Ideal for creating a creative presentation for business or those who want something interesting.

PROS: It's a lot simpler to use compared to PowerPoint and other methods of presentation. It gives room for creativity. Presentations made are more captivating and engages the people you're presenting to. Hosting slideshows online can easily be done. The free version works just fine and has some essentials worth exploring.

CONS: The only thing that I don't like with Prezi is not being able to work offline (on its free software version). The option can only be used in higher plans. I just wish they'd bring it over on the free version. Aside from that, there's nothing else to complain.

I’m very satisfied from Prezi

PROS: Prezi provides lot of possibilities and great support. It has great quality of sequences of the slides. It is intuitive, easy to use and well-engineered editor. It has lot of templates and themes and I like that is open platform, but only premium users can hide Prezi from public. It allows cloud storage via weblink and it is reliable engineering platform.

CONS: I don’t like that it has some limits for the editor and I don’t like the price for premium too. Sometimes we have to wait for Prezi’s loading. Also, there are some unnecessary features as well.

It works for presentations.

PROS: It's simple to operate and easy to get around. I prefer this tool over PowerPoint. I'm able to create attractive presentations. I love how simple it is to navigate and be able to access all people. Prezi is very helpful for those who want to map out marketing strategy and thoughts.

CONS: There's nothing that I don't like with Prezi. But if there's one thing I'd recommend, it would be having more templates in their library. Another thing that needs improvement is having the ability to upload images to any presentation. I've tried incorporating videos to my presentations before. So far, I rarely had any issues with them.

Prezi is a professional marketing software that helps people create advanced presentations for any situation. It combines creative tools and clever features to help businesses and individuals take their performance to the next level.

Keep reading our Prezi review to find out more about what the software offers and to determine how well it holds up against the competition. It scores well with us, and in our opinion, it is one of the best programs out there for video presentation integrations.

Pros and Cons

Before we take a closer look at the ins and outs of the software itself, here is a brief rundown of the highlights – good and bad – of Prezi.

  • Work is stored automatically in your cloud
  • Non-linear maps let you link ideas freely and without creative restrictions.
  • Every step is easy to use, including video capturing.
  • Add video, audio, and other external files into your presentations.
  • There is no free offline access.
  • You cannot print presentations via Prezi
  • Initially, the orientation of presenting can be tough to follow.

In general, Prezi is hard to fault, especially when it comes to usability. A common thread amongst almost every user review of this software is how much people love the interface and the ease with which they could control it.

No matter how incredible software is, being able to work with it matters more. Many people who require video capture and presentation creation programs are not technical experts or digital whiz-kids – something Prezi manages very well.

The reason our Prezi review scores so highly for usability is how perfectly it balances advanced features with simple controls. Users can create highly professional presentations without spending hours figuring out their way around the software.

It is also pleasant to look at and works compatible with mobile devices, which is essential to most industries in this day and age.

  • Customizable editing

Many of Prezi’s finest features relate to customizing and building unique and creative professional presentations. It has everything from animation and drag and drops to interactive presenting and activity tracking.

  • Media integration

People love Prezi’s seamless integration and embedding of media files. You can perfectly time them to go along with the natural flow of the slides without it feeling jilted or distracting. Additionally, video capturing the whole presentation could not be any more straightforward.

  • Cloud-based with offline access

Prezi is a cloud-based program, but it also features an excellent offline program. You can access, edit, and present offline with a Prezi subscription.

The Prezi mobile app is compatible with almost any device and opens up a whole new set of possibilities for presenters. You can do everything you need to via your smartphone, including sharing and presenting.

  • Collaborative working

Another feature of Prezi is the collaboration between teams. Opt for multiple presenters and screen sharing via the hand-over mode, or set up multiple people to edit a presentation from various locations simultaneously.

Support Quality

Prezi customer support scores highly amongst users. Whether by phone, email, live chat, or text, you can contact an agent 24/7 to get the help you need. There are also various FAQ pages and knowledge bases to browse.

On top of that, Prezi also has an extensive training program. Those who want to get the most out of the software gain access to live online training, plenty of learning materials, and they can even arrange one-on-one sessions.

Prezi Pricing: How Much Does It Cost?

There are many plans available, all based on a monthly subscription. Prices vary depending on if you are an individual or team, a student or an educator, or whether you need it for personal or commercial use.

All plans are well priced, ranging from $3 to $9 per month. The lower-tiered plans do not include all the features available via the software and may restrict how many presentations you can share.

Considering that for $9 a month you can gain all the access you need to every element of the program, we would say that Prezi is a bargain and its users agree!

In short, Prezi is a serious contender for the best presentation-building software of them all, but it does not have the most advanced video capture features. If you are looking for a premium, well-rounded package to revolutionize the way you present and market your information, then this could be the way to go.

You can easily make a video recording of your finished work and add whatever audio you need, but it is not the primary focus of the software. That said, we love Prezi for its simple efficiency across the board and have a hard time faulting the overall functionality.

Our Prezi review conclusion is this: it is well worth the money for anyone who wants to wow their audience, be it students, colleagues, or clients. If your creative mind can picture it, Prezi can make it a reality through the excellent customizable features it offers.

Try Prezi Now!

Join Prezi to experience a new way of integrating video, audio, and other content into one streamlined and sophisticated design. Collaboration and customization are the keys to success with this exciting software.

Prezi is a presentation app known mostly for its style of zoom navigation and a “slideless” design. The core concept of creating a presentation with Prezi is that all sections are connected and the presenter can zoom and navigate between them seamlessly.

This style of presentation is unique to Prezi and it’s their way of standing out above PowerPoint. Even though the zooming feature sounds complex as an idea, its ease of use is impressive, especially when following a template.

Microsoft PowerPoint is the presentation software in the Microsoft Office Suite.

It has long been the most sought out software for creating presentations in both business and education. So much so that its overuse led to the term “Death by PowerPoint”.

The downloadable desktop app for Microsoft PowerPoint works seamlessly on both Mac OS and PC with Windows.

Let’s take a look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of the Prezi presentation software.

Advantage #1: Non-Linear Navigation

The first advantage of Prezi is the zoom and overview feature.

The signature navigation in Prezi offers a unique perspective for creating and viewing a presentation. Instead of adding one slide after another, a project is created in sections.

There is the main menu slide and the presenter or viewer can navigate back to it at any time. This Prezi advantage is particularly useful for presentation creators that are tired of the usual way.

Advantage #2: Integration Support

The second advantage of Prezi is the long list of integrations. Prezi can be connected to other apps like Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet. These integrations make it easier to share and present Prezi projects with teams and collaborators.

Advantage #3: Low Cost

The third advantage of the Prezi software is its low cost.

The free version is great for students that need the bare necessities for their projects without too much fanfare. The paid plans start as low as $3/month.

Disadvantage #1: Confusing Layout

Interestingly enough, Prezi’s first advantage is also a disadvantage. The frequent zooming in and out movement can be a bit overwhelming for some. Also, a Prezi presentation shared on its own can be confusing if the viewer doesn’t know how to navigate the functions.

Likewise, for the creator, it can be easy to go overboard with zooming navigation. If the slides and sections aren’t organized and easy to follow, it can be difficult to present cohesively.

Disadvantage #2: Paid Offline Access

The second disadvantage to Prezi is that if using the free or lower-tier versions, presentations depend on the internet to be viewed.

Slow internet speeds can make a Prezi almost impossible to navigate. Offline access is only available in the paid subscriptions.

Disadvantage #3: Limited Data Visualization

Even though there are some charts and graphs options in Prezi, they aren’t fully customizable or editable for a personalized look and feel.

Prezi did add a new feature called Prezi Design to improve the customization of data visualizations, but it's still limited compared to other tools.

Let’s take a look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of PowerPoint.

Advantage #1: Popularity

The first advantage of PowerPoint is its widespread use. Pretty much everyone knows how to open, use, view and edit a PowerPoint presentation. That makes it easy to distribute and share with team members and collaborators.

Advantage #2: Rich Multimedia Features

The second advantage of PowerPoint is the rich features for using multimedia in presentations. Users can add video, audio, voice-over and animations to keep viewers interested and engaged. These features help add a good dose of visual impact to presentations.

Advantage #3: Plenty of Templates

The third advantage of PowerPoint is a large number of available templates. Not exactly within the software itself but mostly through third party sites and marketplaces. Since PowerPoint has been the long-standing favorite in presentation makers, there are templates for every style and purpose.

It's similar to how there are thousands of Apple Keynote templates available on sites like Envato Elements and GraphicRiver.

Disadvantage #1: Death by PowerPoint

The main disadvantage of PowerPoint is the coined term “Death By PowerPoint” and the meaning the term carries along with it. It’s not uncommon to hear people say things like “not another PowerPoint!”, or “I fell asleep during the PowerPoint”.

This reputation was the catalyst for many presentation makers to offer different and more creative solutions.

Disadvantage #2: High Cost

The second disadvantage of PowerPoint is the ongoing cost of the Microsoft 365 Office Suite. Users can obtain PowerPoint on their own but the cost is high.

As part of the full package with Microsoft 365, it has a monthly fee. Buying the Software on its own doesn’t come with storage like with the Suite.

Disadvantage #3: Compatibility Issues

The third disadvantage has to do with how long PowerPoint has been around. It can happen that the software used is from an old computer and then it’s not compatible with newer media. Or the newer version of PowerPoint won’t open on older computers.

For example, if you want to collaborate on a PowerPoint and need to upload it to their cloud, a PPT file won't work. It needs to be a newer version like PPTX.

Both Prezi and PowerPoint have many features on hand to help presenters create engaging slide decks. But in both cases, there are some features that stand above the rest. The one thing that makes the software a favorite among its users.

Prezi Feature #1: Zoom Navigation

The best and most notorious Prezi feature is Zooming navigation. Prezi created this feature as a differentiator from PowerPoint and other presentation makers.

Creators can design slides into groups or sections which are organized in the main menu on the first Prezi slide. The presenter can then navigate through a section and to the next or using the back button to return to the main slide.

When creating a Prezi presentation, this feature can’t be turned off. It’s ingrained in the program so creators must be sure that they want this style of presentation to begin with.

Prezi Feature #2: Prezi Video

Prezi recently added an integrated video feature to their software.

Prezi video is like a regular Prezi presentation with the difference that the background is the live video of the presenter. This feature is great for live webinars, meetings and courses.

To create a Prezi Video, users do have to use a different app in the Prezi Suite but can use already created Prezi presentations and simply integrate into Prezi Video.

Prezi Feature #3: Integrations with other Apps

Prezi has a number of practical integrations to share presentations in different ways.

For example, use Slack to share presentations with team members inside channels. Or, use Zoom or Google Meet with Prezi Video and create a presentation that you are a part of.

PowerPoint Feature #1: Microsoft Toolbar

PowerPoint has many notable features in its editor, but the most notorious is the Microsoft Toolbar with all the editing features a creator will ever need.

Microsoft Office Suite software like Word and Excel have similar toolbars to PPT and this makes it easier for users of all three programs.

Having an understanding of the Microsoft Toolbar is a time saver and offers a large number of creative and practical features for any PowerPoint presentation.

PowerPoint Feature #2: Layout Themes

Another notorious feature of PowerPoint is the starter layout slides. These are simple slides with a basic composition of images and text. These save time when creating new slides, as creators don’t have to insert new image and text boxes every time.

These are also pre-designed to look good and be effective. Using the layout themes helps create better-looking presentations every time, and customization is simple and to the point.

PowerPoint Feature #3: Export to Other Apps

Powerpoint presentations can be exported to use in other presentation makers.

Prezi is one of them. A PowerPoint presentation inside Prezi must be adapted to fit the zooming navigation by grouping slides into categories.

A PowerPoint presentation can easily be opened as a Google slides presentation with hardly any difference in editing features. This will work better on a Chrome browser.

cta presentations powerpoint import visme

Prezi and PowerPoint both have available templates to use in their software.

In both cases, templates exist in the editor, but there are also other template resources for both software. Let’s take a look at how the templates compare between the two presentation makers.

Prezi Templates

Prezi offers a variety of templates for their users. Recently they added templates for the Prezi Video feature and other engaging templates in the education and marketing niches.

As is to be expected, all Prezi templates are created taking advantage of the zooming feature.

For Prezi users, using a template is always the best choice. This way, the navigation has already been optimized and only the content needs to be updated.

  • Business Review
  • Education and Nonprofit

Like many of its competitors, Prezi also has a large number of third-party templates to choose from. These are available on sites like prezibase.com and creatoz.eu.

On these sites, creators will find thousands of Prezi templates in many different styles and designs.

PowerPoint Templates

The templates available inside the PowerPoint software have been the same for years and feel a bit outdated. There are no more than 24 legacy templates that even though are a bit old, still help create presentations faster and easier.

Aside from Pre-designed presentation templates, PowerPoint also offers Theme layout options to pick and choose at the user’s discretion.

Additionally, when a presentation is created from scratch, the software offers “Design Ideas” with pre-designed slides in a scrollable bar to the right of the editor.

prezi presentation price

PowerPoint templates are available on many sites online. On Envato alone, there are over 1000 ready-to-use templates in many different styles and for different industries.

Given how there are so many PowerPoint templates on third-party sites, it's easy to understand why Microsoft doesn’t create more templates to add to their PowerPoint program.

Many of the PowerPoint templates offer tutorials on how to best use them.

Moving on to the cost of each presentation software. Let’s take a look at the different options for both presentation apps.

Prezi Pricing

The pricing on Prezi is much like any online app, there are options to choose from according to the industry or need of use.

prezi presentation price

The monthly plans, apart from the Free basics, start at $3/month and can go as high as $59/month and prices for teams and enterprises are on demand.

Pricing groups are separated into basic, individual, education, and business.

PowerPoint Cost

PowerPoint usually comes as part of the Microsoft Office suite, now called Microsoft 365. The monthly fee starts at $6.99/per month and increases depending on users and team needs.

prezi presentation price

Buying the software on its own costs $139 and doesn’t come with cloud storage.

Online vs Offline Performance

Presenting online and offline is a bit different between the two software. Let’s take a look at how they are different and how each software manages to present online and offline for their users.

In both cases, if the presentation is rich in interactive media and large photos, a slow connection will definitely slow down performance if viewed online.

In general, offline access is available on a limited basis.

Prezi Performance

Prezi works only online when using the basic free plan. On paid plans, users have the option of a downloadable desktop app to create and present their slide decks offline.

If they send the presentation as a link to be watched by someone else, the viewer will need a good internet connection to view it.

Additionally, there’s also the option of Portable Presentations, which can be downloaded to view offline and can be sent in an email and downloaded or through a memory stick.

Prezi users also have the option of using the Prezi Viewer Mobile app to present their projects with collaborators and team members.

prezi presentation price

You get both online and with offline access once the app has been downloaded. Prezi Viewer is available for iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

PowerPoint Performance

As PowerPoint is downloadable software, presentations can be created offline without the need for an internet connection. They can then be shared online or via a memory stick and easily presented or viewed offline as well.

PowerPoint functionality is best when used offline but there is also an online version of PowerPoint in the cloud called PowerPoint Online.

prezi presentation price

Additionally, PowerPoint presentations can be viewed on an iPad with iOS or an Android device. There's no mobile app functionality to create a presentation on an iPad or mobile device, but they're perfect for viewing.

Teamwork & Collaboration

Most Presentation software these days offer teamwork and collaboration features.

Working on presentations together is important for business and education. Let’s take a look at how Prezi and PowerPoint compare to each other in terms of collaboration.

For team members to work together on a Prezi Presentation, they all need to have their own account or be part of an Enterprise account with different user logins.

The owner of the presentation can share the project with no more than 10 people at once. They need to be granted editing rights via the same email they use to log in to Prezi.

Collaborative editing on Prezi can be seen in real-time. This means that one user can see what another is working on and vice versa. Content from any other Prezi can be added to a group Prezi easily as well.

Apart from being able to edit together, collaborators can also leave comments in small post-it type notes.

Collaboration on PowerPoint is possible but needs a bit of preparation.

For a PowerPoint presentation to be editable as a team, it first needs to be uploaded to OneDrive or SharePoint Online for Microsoft 365. From there, collaborators can be added via their email.

Users can see when team members log into the presentation to make changes and can see what they are working on. If changes were made while a user isn’t logged on, they get a notification that changes have been made while they were away.

Storage & Backup

Losing a presentation after you’ve worked on it for a long time is never fun. Thankfully, most presentation software has storage and backup features, either on your own computer (Mac or PC) or as cloud storage.

Both free and paid Prezi accounts have unlimited storage for created presentations.

Uploaded media storage is larger in bigger plans. For example, free and small plans can’t upload videos to their presentations. Larger plans offer that and the storage to keep the videos in the media library.

Since PowerPoint is desktop-based presentation software, all your presentations are media are stored on your computer. Alternatively, you can store all your PowerPoint files and presentations in Microsoft OneDrive.

A Microsoft 365 subscription comes with a 5GB cloud storage plan that can be easily upgraded via the subscription page.

Embedding features for presentations go both ways. In some cases, you can embed third-party content into a presentation and you can embed a finished presentation into a website. Let’s take a look at how Prezi and PowerPoint compare.

Prezi presentations don’t have the ability to embed third-party content inside slides with I-frame or integrated apps. Their new app Prezi Design does offer iframe embedding but taking these designs to a Prezi presentation is not seamless.

Alternatively, you can easily embed a Prezi presentation into a webpage with a snippet of code.

Content can be linked or embedded easily into PowerPoint slides, either through the linking or embedding features. First of all, any content created on other Microsoft 365 software is easy to add to a PowerPoint presentation.

Excel charts for example can be added as live data. As long as the data is kept on your machine or OneDrive folder, the PowerPoint presentation will show the changes if it’s also uploaded to OneDrive.

Embedding a PowerPoint presentation into a website is just as easy as with Prezi. All that’s needed is an HTML embed code. Copy and paste into a webpage or blog.

Is Prezi More Effective Than PowerPoint?

Both Prezi and PowerPoint have their own advantages and disadvantages. The question if Prezi is more effective than PowerPoint is relative to your own needs. Prezi’s unique zooming feature will make your presentation instantly recognizable as a “Prezi”.

Likewise, a PowerPoint presentation with too many transition features and excessive use of animation will be recognized as a PowerPoint presentation.

When it comes to choosing between Prezi and PowerPoint it mostly comes down to what style of presentation you want to deliver. More so, each tool has particular features that the other one does not.

For example, you can’t embed third-party content into a Prezi and PowerPoints already have a bad rep with the whole “Death by PowerPoint” situation.

Prezi Review Hero

TechRadar Verdict

Prezi is a feature-rich online presentation suite that aims to enable anyone to create stunning presentations, including those without any in-depth knowledge of design and related practices. It comes with various advanced tools that can help you do pretty much anything you want with your presentation, and it doesn’t take a lot of time to get used to how everything works. Prezi does have some minor shortcomings in its UI, though those are mostly limited to features that aren’t that actively used in the first place.

Rich in features

Easy to create stunning presentations without any design skills

Lots of assets ready to use

Some UI elements are a bit clunky

Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test.

Online presentation tools have evolved a lot over the last decade, with the advancement of various rich web technologies that have enabled developers to do everything they want within the confines of the typical browser . Traditionally, these applications required powerful hardware, especially if one wanted to leverage their full features. Nowadays it’s a different story, with many tools offering advanced functionality directly in the browser, without requiring a strong machine. This is especially noticeable with tools where most of the processing happens on the company’s servers.

Prezi is built from the ground up with the goal of removing as many of the traditional limitations imposed by web applications, and enabling users to create stunning, rich presentations with minimal effort and design skills. It doesn’t take long to get used to how Prezi works and where everything is located, including some of the more advanced features of the application. Its price is quite attractive compared to the majority of its competition too, making Prezi a great offer all around.

Pricing

Plans and pricing

Prezi is offered in three different subscription tiers though all of them include access to all three main parts of the suite – Prezi Video, Prezi Design, and Prezi Present. Prezi's Standard plan costs $5 per month, the Plus plan costs $15 per month and the Premium plan costs $19 per month. Since the three tools are meant to be used in conjunction in the first place, it makes sense that the subscription includes access to all of them, though this can create the impression that you’re getting much more value for your money. Still, all points considered, the pricing of Prezi is more than adequate, especially compared to other similar tools on the market.

A free trial is available, unlocking all features of the premium subscription for a week. That’s on top of the free tier that’s already provided by default, which can be very useful for comparing what Prezi has to offer and what some of the more advanced features can do. The company occasionally runs discounts on their subscription plans, though it can be tricky to catch those in time.

Video Templates

Prezi is divided into three main sections – Video, Design, and Present. Prezi Video is used for creating videos, as the name implies. It has various features to get started as quickly as possible, including recording directly from your desktop or camera, importing a PowerPoint presentation, or starting with one of the provided templates. The available templates are diverse and carefully designed, and there should be something for everyone in there.

Prezi Design, on the other hand, allows you to create more general designs that can be reused between different parts of the program. For example, you can create a design for video presentations, which you can then combine with templates in the Video creator to fully customize your content and tailor it to your own needs.

Prezi Present

Last but not least, we have Prezi Present, which allows you to create the perfect presentation, with various features that you’ll find familiar if you’re coming in from PowerPoint or another similarly popular presentation tool.

User Interface

Interface and in use

Prezi’s interface doesn’t take long to get used to, and the program is designed in a very clean manner overall, providing quick access to all important features at a glance. Those familiar with PowerPoint should feel right at home. Which is interesting, because Prezi did not start out that way. The program was originally designed with the idea of doing everything that PowerPoint doesn’t, and improving on the rest. Its initial UI was very different from what we have now, but many users seem to agree that the changes we’ve seen in the long run have made sense.

Some of the more obscure features can take a while to find, but Prezi can make it easy to get through those obstacles with its detailed help section. You should need very little time to find your way around Prezi in the beginning, even if you’re looking for more advanced functionality.

Support

There’s a knowledge base with a lot of information available to anyone, and the company offers various additional forms of support on top of that, including phone support and a user forum. Phone support might be restricted depending on your account, but as long as you’re on a premium subscription, there should be very few cases where you have to explicitly request access to it. The company also provides a comprehensive workshop with lots of guide videos and other materials to get users started on their journey as quickly as possible. Self-learners should find Prezi to be an absolute delight to use, and it’s definitely aimed at those who like to research their tools on their own.

The competition

Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote are perhaps the most notable competitors of Prezi, though the application does plenty of things in its own unique way, and easily stands out on this market. It’s worth checking out some of the more prominent competitors in case you’re wondering how other companies approach the design of some common features, but it’s very likely that you’ll find yourself sticking with Prezi in the end.

Final verdict

All things considered – especially the price – Prezi is a great offer in a market with a lot of competition. It does some things in its own unique way, but in most cases, that’s an improvement over most other tools in that price range on the market.

What do others say about Prezi pricing?

With great animation to beautiful templates, Prezi is having everything to make a beautiful presentation and impress your customers, investors, and audience.

I have some basic graphic skills and this helps in customizing the presentations. The outcomes look professional and my costumers are very impressed by the work.

I have found that the presentations I have used need to be run from the cloud and that is a bit scary for me incase the internet goes down.

Overall, our experience with Prezi was awful. We could not collaborate on a project (mostly editing a Prezi) as a team.

Prezi vs. PowerPoint: Which One Takes the Prize?

prezi presentation price

Our content is reader supported, which means when you buy from links you click on, we may earn a commission.

In the world of digital presentations, two key players have the digital world divided: Prezi and PowerPoint. The clash between the two powerful programs will never get old, and the debate about which one is better will seemingly rage on forever.

So how do we settle this debate once and for all?

To begin, you must answer a few questions.

  • What does your content look like?
  • Who is your audience?
  • Is engagement your priority?

Both programs have their benefits and both come with advanced features to serve any and every need, leaving the decision entirely up to you. Which will you choose in the Prezi vs. PowerPoint presentation software war?

Contender #1: PowerPoint

screenshot of powerpoint homepage

Microsoft Office created PowerPoint as one of the first pieces of software dedicated to creating digital presentations. It has become the standard go-to presentation tool for those looking to make presentations. It turns out, over 500 million users engage with PowerPoint and it holds a huge 95% majority in the presentation application market.

So why use PowerPoint? Well, if you’re looking to tell a linear story that begins from point A and ends at point B, using simple tools and a simple presentation architecture, this is the tool for you. Some advantages of PowerPoint are:

  • Easy-to-use interface, software, and tools
  • Premade templates are easy to use
  • Easily printable (and no loss of format)
  • It allows users to insert hyperlinks which open web pages directly
  • Can accommodate downloaded videos, audios, and images, but only at one angle
  • PowerPoint Online can go with you anywhere and allows for remote collaboration

Contender #2: Prezi

Prezi homepage screenshot

Users were introduced to a whole new world of visual presentations when this flash-based software came into the presentation software market.

Prezi is unique in its non-linear storytelling architecture, allowing you to set multiple paths to follow. With seamless integration of all kinds of media, a Prezi presentation offers a highly interactive way of presenting the information. With Prezi you can easily focus on your important points in a very unique way which offers a great benefit over traditional Microsoft PowerPoint.

So what makes it so hot? The interface, of course! Jumping from one section to another, and with a whole new type of visual imagery, who wouldn’t want to use Prezi? Here are some advantages of Prezi:

  • The zoom function
  • Fun ways to navigate through the presentation
  • Images can be inserted at any angle – horizontally, vertically or any other way
  • Can accommodate media of all kinds – images, video, and audio
  • Presentations can be easily embedded into other online sources like blogs and web pages
  • You can customize pages to mimic that of newspapers and magazines

Prezi vs. PowerPoint: An Extensive Comparison

It’s time to break down the specs and examine the two presentation software juggernauts. You may be a diehard fan of the legendary PowerPoint or ready to enter the realm of a newer interface with Prezi. Wherever your loyalties lie, it’s worth your while to see whether you should stay, or shift parties!

Both pieces of software are packed with their own unique features, interface, and usability level. This means no matter what you’re planning on presenting, you will have all the tools at your disposal to help you create the most functional presentation.

So if you’re planning on creating online courses or any other type of presentation, read on to see which software you should use.

Price (You’re in for a Surprise Here)

graphic of one criteria for deciding whether to use Prezi or PowerPoint

Prezi: It’s absolutely FREE! All you need is a working internet connection, flash, and a good browser. But you do have to make an account on their website to use the program.

PowerPoint: The 1.69 GB program starts at a $126.89 price tag – and is still an absolute favorite.

Compatibility

graphic of one criteria for deciding whether to use Prezi or PowerPoint

Prezi: Since Prezi is only available online , it’s compatible with any updated browser and functional flash. It also requires a working internet connection.

PowerPoint: PowerPoint is compatible with all Windows operating systems, the Apple Macintosh, and even works as Android and iOS applications that are downloadable from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

User Friendliness and Ease of Use

graphic of one criteria for deciding whether to use Prezi or PowerPoint

Prezi Prezi provides you with a large blank canvas for you to customize to your heart’s content. For first-timers, this can be a little intimidating, and some users have reported feeling very overwhelmed. In other words, you’ll have to get some training on how to use Prezi before you actually get the hang of it.

PowerPoint Probably the most popular presentation software of all time, the user-friendliness of PowerPoint cannot be beaten. The available tools and working interface are super easy to get familiar with, especially for beginners looking to make high-quality presentations.

In fact, it’s so simple, that even kids in middle school learn to use presentation software via PowerPoint. In other words, it’s got a simple interface that can be easily navigated, and the tools are also easy to understand – it requires no tutorial to get started.

Which Unique Features Stand Out?

graphic of one criteria for deciding whether to use Prezi or PowerPoint

Prezi The shining star of Prezi is how the presentation is laid out. You can make non-linear presentations that zoom in and out at different parts of your presentation. You can also add statistics very creatively using bar charts, pie charts, and other types of charts, making Prezi a great way to present numerical data.

In fact, it’s a great way to keep the audience engaged because of the stunning and unique animations and transitions. Your presentation will look like it’s been taken right out of a magazine or newspaper article – only better and more visually appealing.

PowerPoint This software comes with built-in templates at the ready for you to use. With different options to choose from, users can make any presentation using the templates, themes, and a wide array of fonts.

The software also comes with free transitions, notes, and footer sections, and each slide is individually customizable. Regular updates from Microsoft constantly upgrade the archive of fonts and animations that the program offers, and the best part is that this program works fluidly – no lags or snags, which can’t be said about most any PowerPoint alternatives .

Areas for Improvements

graphic of one criteria for deciding whether to use Prezi or PowerPoint

Prezi The interface of Prezi needs to be simplified to increase user-friendliness. With users complaining that it has an unprofessional and gimmicky look, perhaps a redesign of the tools and animations would help the interface look more professional. This will also assist users in making more professional-looking presentations.

Another area of improvement is to make Prezi less distracting. Prezi can be a bit of an optical maze, running user’s eyes from one end to another.

PowerPoint PowerPoint’s graphics are one of the main areas for improvement. With many competitors out there with better quality and modern graphics, animations, and other additions, PowerPoint needs to step up its game.

Another issue is expanding its creative license. PowerPoint limits you to a specific format of images and videos and media alike, and can only add them at a certain angle. And on top of that, people aren’t too happy paying the hefty price of this software.

Who Is the Software For?

Prezi Prezi is for people looking to make super interactive and engaging presentations. It’s a very vibrant alternative to PowerPoint. In other words, it’s great for those for whom visuals matter.

So, if you’re a high school student, an employee at a digital marketing firm, or even an educator, this is a great tool to use for your presentation needs.

PowerPoint The aim of PowerPoint, as mentioned before, is to present how point A leads to point B. So, if you’re looking to present scientific findings, statistics, or other topics of the like, this software is for you.

It’s also great to use when teaching young children about how to work on digital presentations, and is always a safe choice to use when going into corporate meetings, university classes, or even an informal meeting with your team.

graphic showing prezi vs powerpoint

So Who Wins?

It’s pretty hard to say who won this debate. Both pieces of software are equally useful in their niches and with their own customers. So perhaps, it all comes down to the user and what the user wants.

However, to get the best out of both presentation software, users must continuously practice and experiment with them to know how to make their presentations come alive. If you’re pressed for time, going with PowerPoint would be a great idea because of the premade templates, which offer you a framework to arrange your content in.

But again, if visual appeal and quality are your priority, and you’re a fan of new technology, you’re going to love working on Prezi to make your presentations.

The Takeaway

So next time you’re looking to make a presentation, consider your audience, your content, and how much time you have to make a great presentation to wow everyone.

Whether you choose Microsoft PowerPoint or Prezi each comes with its benefits, and each has its drawbacks. Either way, both of them help users to create an exciting presentation that are both visually appealing and intellectually stimulating.

Jim Harvey's Presentation Skills Advice

How much does a first-class prezi presentation cost.

Yet I still think that Prezi can be used well and to great and positive effect, if you want to stand out from the crowd for the right reasons. We use it carefully to help us pitch with greater impact to some clients, than we could with PowerPoint. But it’s important to remember that Prezi is harder to use well than the enthusiastic might think and have you believe.  It’s not that different but it’s different enough to matter. My 4 years of using the tool all over the world, with the likes of the BBC, JPMorgan and Grifols, has led me to some clear conclusions.

It takes effort and time to create a really effective Prezi. No time at all to create a stinker. That’s why we recommend our clients to stick to PowerPoint for most times, and use Prezi for special occasions. Big pitches, new product launches and important internal presentations.

How much does it cost to create a decent Prezi? The short answer is about 20-40 hours of input time for a bespoke, 20 ‘slide’ presentation. So that’s between £600 and £1200 at £30 pph of time however you measure it, and double that if you’re using an agency in London or New York. Outside one of the big cities you can get one made for less, but not much less. Where does the time go then?

  • Understanding the brief – 2 hours with the client.
  • Developing the story structure – 2 hours.
  • Creating a first draft of the storyboard with layout, frames, path points created and image ideas sketched in – 4 hours.
  • Image creation, selection and production into ‘Flash’ or PDF images that work well in Prezi (high quality images that won’t pixelate on zooming in) – 4-8 hours.
  • Final polishing of the Prezi before sending to the client for approval – 2 hours.
  • Minor modifications after client review of draft Prezi – adding & removing path elements, frames, animations and other effects – 1-4 hours.

This might sound expensive, but if you add up all of the investment a business has to make to get up and running with Prezi for itself- create an account, learn how it all works, understand Prezi best practice, build your own Prezi, then it’s probably a lot more than £1200 per Prezi. The difference is that most of the costs in the ‘teach yourself route’ are hidden.  All that trial and error, reading books and Googling for hints and tips.

As I mentioned earlier, we’ve been using Prezi for years for ourselves, and we’ve been helping major clients like Accenture, JPMorgan, The BBC, Mercer, RBS, Grifols, Norsk Hydro and many others, all over the world, do exactly the same.

Prezi has often helped us and them make a massive impression in a dull old world of slide-driven sameness.

Prezi can help you do well in a competitive presentation and help you differentiate yourself from your competitive set, because the likelihood is that they’ll all be using PowerPoint, and probably using that badly too.

But a poor presentation in Prezi tends to be much worse than a poor presentation in PowerPoint . If you want to learn for yourself, if you’d like to be that star turn, and you’ve seen Prezi and understand what it can do, then we’d love to help you. We can offer the following choices-

A compelling sales presentation can be the key to capturing your audience’s attention and closing deals successfully. One powerful tool that can help you deliver an engaging and persuasive sales pitch is a sales deck. In this article, we’ll explore what a sales deck is, discuss its essential elements, and demonstrate how you can effortlessly create a remarkable sales slide deck using Prezi’s innovative platform.

A women in front of an audience presenting a sales deck.

What is a sales deck?

A sales deck, also known as a sales slide deck or sales presentation deck, is a visual representation of your sales pitch. It serves as a concise and persuasive overview of your product, service, or solution, designed to captivate and persuade your potential customers. A well-crafted sales deck can convey your value proposition effectively and leave a lasting impression on your audience.

The importance of sales deck presentations

Sales decks play a crucial role in modern presentations by providing a structured and visually compelling format for delivering your sales pitch. Here are key reasons why sales decks are useful and why incorporating them into your presentations is essential for sales success.

Structured communication

Sales decks provide a framework for organizing and presenting your sales message in a clear and coherent manner. By following a well-defined structure, you ensure that your presentation flows smoothly, making it easier for your audience to follow along and understand your value proposition.

Visual engagement

In today’s visually-oriented world , sales decks offer a visually appealing approach to captivate your audience’s attention. By incorporating compelling images, graphics, and charts, you can make complex concepts more accessible and memorable. Visual elements not only enhance engagement but also help convey information more effectively.

persuasive presentation design

Consistent messaging

Sales decks enable you to maintain consistency in your messaging across different sales interactions. By creating a standardized deck, you ensure that your sales team delivers a consistent brand message, emphasizing key points, benefits, and features of your offering. Consistency builds trust and reinforces your brand image.

Concise and impactful delivery

Sales decks encourage conciseness by presenting information in a condensed and focused manner. With limited space on each slide, you are prompted to distill your message down to its core components, ensuring that every slide adds value and supports your overall sales narrative. This concise delivery increases the impact of your presentation.

Customization and personalization

While sales decks provide a structured format, they also offer flexibility for customization and personalization. You can tailor your deck to specific prospects or industries, highlighting relevant case studies, testimonials, or data points. This customization demonstrates your understanding of their unique challenges and positions your offering as the ideal solution.

Post-presentation reference

Sales slide decks serve as valuable reference materials for your prospects. After the presentation, they can revisit the deck to review key points, reinforce their understanding, and share it with other decision-makers. A well-crafted sales deck, with clear and concise content, becomes a powerful tool that continues to work in your favor even after the presentation concludes.

A young employee confidently stands in front of a group of colleagues in a modern office environment. He casts a screen with stats and graphs from his laptop onto a large monitor. His colleagues listen intently.

Incorporating a sales deck into your presentation strategy is essential for maximizing the impact of your sales efforts. It ensures a structured, visually engaging, and consistent delivery of your sales message. With a well-designed sales deck, you can effectively convey your value proposition, establish credibility, and leave a lasting impression on your audience.

Remember, a sales deck isn’t just a collection of slides but a strategic tool that helps you articulate your value proposition, address pain points, and ultimately close deals. By utilizing Prezi’s platform to create compelling sales decks, you can elevate your sales presentations and increase your chances of success in today’s competitive business landscape.

Essential elements of a sales deck

Compelling opening.

Grab your audience’s attention from the start with a compelling opening that highlights the problem your product or service solves. The opening of your sales deck is your opportunity to make a strong first impression and generate interest in your offering. Craft a powerful and attention-grabbing opening that resonates with your target audience, and you’ll set the foundation for a persuasive and impactful sales presentation. Take inspiration from this Prezi presentation example where the presentation opening features a video that immediately captures the viewer’s attention.

Clear value proposition

Clearly articulate the unique value your offering brings to the table. Focus on the benefits, features, and advantages that set your solution apart from the competition. By crafting a clear value proposition that resonates with your target audience, you’ll highlight the specific benefits and advantages they can expect from choosing your offering. This will reinforce their confidence in your solution and increase the likelihood of conversion.

Engaging storytelling

Incorporate storytelling techniques to create a narrative that resonates with your audience. Connect emotionally and help them envision how your solution can solve their pain points. Consider structuring your sales deck around a storytelling framework, incorporating elements such as a relatable protagonist, a problem or challenge, and a resolution that showcases the benefits of your offering. Use storytelling to humanize your brand, make complex information more relatable, and create a memorable experience that inspires action.

With Prezi, storytelling becomes easy and effortless as the open-canvas format allows for a highly engaging narration. You can use seamless transitions with zooming effects and take your audience on a captivating journey, effectively conveying your message in a memorable way. The following presentation illustrates how you can utilize zooming effects to create a highly engaging storytelling experience.

Visual appeal

Utilize visually appealing graphics, images, and charts to enhance the overall impact of your sales deck. Visuals can help simplify complex ideas and make your message more memorable. When designing your sales deck, consider the strategic placement of visuals to complement and enhance your key messages. Ensure that your visual elements align with your brand identity and support your overall narrative. By harnessing the power of visual appeal, you elevate the quality and effectiveness of your sales deck, increasing the likelihood of success.

Discover the following Prezi presentation about Eagle Copters that score in visual appeal and engagement. What’s more, you can make a copy and create a similar, attention-grabbing presentation for your audience.

Succinct content

Keep your text concise and avoid information overload. Use bullet points, short sentences, and key phrases to deliver your message effectively. When designing your sales deck, focus on brevity and clarity. Avoid overwhelming your audience with excessive text and information. Instead, use bullet points, short sentences, and key phrases to convey your message effectively. This approach ensures that your key points are highlighted, understood, and remembered.

For inspiration, take a look at the following Prezi presentation that provides clearly structured content, where you can choose to go in-depth about each topic or provide a brief overview.

Social Proof

Include testimonials, case studies, or success stories to demonstrate the positive outcomes your solution has achieved for previous clients. Social proof builds credibility and trust in your offering. Make sure to include relevant details such as the industry, specific challenges, and measurable results. By presenting social proof, you create a sense of trust that resonates with your audience.

Incorporating data and analytics

To further enhance the impact of your sales deck, it’s important to incorporate data and analytics that support your value proposition. By presenting concrete evidence and statistics, you can provide a factual basis for the effectiveness and success of your solution. Here’s how you can leverage data in your sales deck with the help of Prezi.

Visualize data

Use charts, graphs, and maps to present complex data in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand format. Prezi offers a wide range of customizable data visualization tools that enable you to create compelling visuals that highlight key metrics and insights.

Case studies

Showcase real-life examples of how your product or service has benefited previous clients. Include data-driven results, such as increased revenue, improved efficiency, or cost savings, to demonstrate the tangible impact of your solution. Prezi allows you to seamlessly integrate case studies into your sales slides, making them an integral part of your persuasive narrative.

Interactive analytics

Leverage Prezi’s interactive features to provide an engaging experience for your audience. Incorporate interactive analytics that allows potential customers to explore data, adjust parameters, and visualize the potential impact of your solution on their specific business needs. This interactive approach not only increases engagement but also helps potential customers see the value of your offering firsthand.

By incorporating data and analytics into your sales deck, you strengthen your arguments and establish credibility and trust with your audience. Prezi’s platform provides the necessary tools and flexibility to seamlessly integrate data visualization and interactive analytics, enabling you to create a data-driven sales deck.

Interactive elements and audience engagement

In addition to the essential elements mentioned earlier, incorporating interactive elements into your sales deck can further enhance audience engagement and create a memorable experience. By leveraging interactive features, you can encourage active participation, personalize the presentation, and strengthen the impact of your sales message. In this section, explore how you can leverage interactivity to make your sales deck even more impactful.

Quizzes and assessments

Integrate interactive quizzes or assessments that test your audience’s knowledge or highlight pain points related to their challenges. This approach not only keeps your audience engaged but also allows you to showcase your expertise and demonstrate the relevance of your solution.

Navigation and zooming

Utilize Prezi’s zooming and navigation capabilities to create a dynamic and immersive experience for your audience. With zooming, you can emphasize important details, guide the audience’s attention, and create a sense of exploration within your sales deck. By allowing the audience to navigate through the content at their own pace, you empower them to engage with the information that resonates most with their interests.

Video integration

Enhance your sales deck presentation with the integration of relevant videos that complement your message. Whether it’s a product demonstration, customer testimonial, or an animated explanation, videos can provide a multi-dimensional experience and increase engagement. Prezi allows the seamless integration of videos within your presentation, providing an immersive experience for your audience.

Interactive storytelling

Take storytelling to the next level by incorporating interactive elements within the narrative. For example, you can use clickable hotspots or branching paths to allow the audience to choose their own adventure within the presentation. This approach not only creates a personalized experience but also increases the level of engagement and emotional connection with your audience.

Remember, interactivity adds a layer of excitement and involvement to your sales deck, making it more memorable and impactful. By incorporating interactive elements, you create an immersive experience that keeps your audience engaged, fosters a deeper understanding of your solution, and increases their willingness to take the desired action.

Utilize Prezi’s interactive features to elevate your sales deck and deliver a presentation that stands out. By engaging your audience in a two-way conversation and providing a personalized experience, you can build stronger connections, address individual needs, and ultimately increase your chances of converting prospects into loyal customers.

What not to do when using sales decks

While sales decks can be powerful tools for delivering impactful sales presentations, it’s important to be mindful of certain pitfalls that can diminish their effectiveness.

Overload slides with text

One of the biggest mistakes is cramming too much text onto each slide. Remember, the purpose of a sales deck is to provide a visual representation of your sales pitch, not to act as a script. Keep your text concise and focus on using visuals to convey your message effectively.

Neglect consistency

Consistency in design, messaging, and branding is crucial for a cohesive and professional sales deck. Avoid using different fonts, colors, or styles that may distract your audience or create a disjointed experience. Maintain a consistent visual identity throughout your sales deck to reinforce your brand image and build trust.

Lack of personalization

While a standardized sales deck is beneficial for maintaining consistency, it’s important to customize and personalize your presentation for each prospect. Avoid using a one-size-fits-all approach and instead tailor your sales deck to address the specific needs and pain points of your audience. Incorporate relevant case studies, testimonials, or data points that resonate with their industry or challenges.

Lack of practice

Even with a well-designed sales deck, poor delivery can undermine its impact. Failing to practice your presentation can lead to stumbling over words, losing track of your message, or appearing unprepared. Take the time to rehearse your pitch, familiarize yourself with the content, and ensure a confident and engaging delivery.

If you struggle with public speaking anxiety or simply are feeling nervous before the presentation, make sure to follow the helpful tips on how to not be nervous before a presentation in this video:

Overwhelm with data

While incorporating data and analytics can strengthen your value proposition, it’s important not to overwhelm your audience with excessive data. Select key metrics and insights that support your message and present them in a visually appealing format. Focus on the most compelling data points that directly relate to your audience’s needs and priorities.

Ignore audience engagement

Sales deck presentations should be interactive and engaging to maintain the attention of your audience. Avoid delivering a one-sided presentation without any opportunities for interaction. Incorporate quizzes or navigational options to encourage active participation and make your presentation a conversation rather than a monologue.

Neglect post-presentation follow-up

A well-crafted sales deck doesn’t end with the presentation itself. After delivering your pitch, it’s crucial to follow up with your prospects, answer any questions they may have, and provide additional information if needed. Failing to follow up can diminish the impact of your sales deck and hinder your chances of closing the deal.

By being aware of these common mistakes, you can maximize the effectiveness of your sales deck and deliver a persuasive and memorable sales presentation that drives results. Remember, a well-designed and delivered sales deck can be a powerful asset in your sales arsenal, so take the time to refine your approach and unleash the full potential of visual storytelling with Prezi.

A meeting takes place in a modern office environment. A young woman has completed a successful sales deck presentation using a laptop and a huge computer monitor / television. Her colleagues giver her a round of applause for a job well done.

Prezi is the modern Powerpoint

I love how Prezi has incorporated a modern feel to the PowerPoint sphere. The software is convenient (there is a presentation app on your phones to help guide presenters through a presentation), templates are colorful and creative, and easy to use. I also love how the Prezi powerpoints is edited in real time. For instance, a user can create a Prezi and submit it as an assignment. However, they forgot to add or remove something but they've already sent the link in. If the user edits the Prezi after it's been submitted, one can click the link, and the changes made will be there. Compared to the standard PowerPoint and Google Slides where once you save and submit, you are stuck and you have to create a whole new presentation if you made a mistake.

A feature I would like to see Prezi improve on is smartphone accessibility. In Today's time, smartphones are getting bigger and bigger. Cellular data (with the rise of 5G) is getting more reliable. A lot of people are using their smartphones to do homework and office work without it being cumbersome. It would be great if we could be able to create and edit our Prezis on our smartphones. It would also be great if there was an offline mode (for both smartphones and desktops/laptops) where one can type and save the text belonging to their presentations. This can help those who are students struggling with internet connectivity.

Reasons for switching to Prezi

Prezi is a lot more creative and flexible which engages those listening to the presentations. Microsoft Powerpoint is not anymore.

Prezi for next level presentations

as a user and a person who select Prezi for our company, i am proud and happy to say that we are happy with this product. we were able to precent some stunning presentations to our employees and our management. this product is way ahead than the traditional presentation making tools in the market.

i really like the unique animations it has and the unique precenting modes. the easyness of importing pictures and graphs. Prezi really took the presentations to next level. and the easiness of using it. and exporting the presentation as a video. easy navigation.

the limitation of design elements. there is a limited design controls in the app. and there are some compatibility issues with old devices. and i have one user complains that she gets motion sickness due to the zooming and transitions in Prezi.

we needed to move above the traditional precenting. we needed to do something uncommon.

Awesome Potential, Poor Follow Through

Prezi has incredible potential. The functionality and features are incredible, and provide the potential to make a one of a kind presentation that really stands out above the rest. When it works, I absolutely love it. We have done amazing presentations for ourselves and our clients using prezi and I love it. The downside is, it doesn't always work. It is fidgety, frequently crashing, resizing and moving both images and text. If you are under the gun or needing to create a presentation quickly, this is not the software for you. We have reached out to prezi help frequently to find out if we are doing something wrong, and Customer service does not follow through. I have been promised multiple times that someone will reach out to me to provide the simple answer as to why we are having problems with prezi, and it never happens. So we frequently start presentations using prezi, and I end up converting the presentation to PowerPoint at the last minute because prezi has crashed so many times we cannot finish utilizing this software. Lastly, it is unreliable in the field, so we have been forced to start backing up every presentation with PowerPoint, because it is not a guarantee the software will be working while you are in the field, where you don't control the wifi or a possible firewall. If you are doing a Webinar from the confines of your own office, it is outstanding. You take the good with the bad with this software.

I use Prezi when I want something more visually appealing/exciting than a powerpoint
