There’s a smokin’ hot dead guy locked in my garden shed. That part’s bad enough. But now, he’s trying to get out...Growing up, my father always told me that I’d come to a bad end, just like my mom did when I was a kid. Hearing that kind of shit when you’re little eventually gets to a girl, but I can’t say I ever expected my "bad end" to involve an angry vampire with a severe case of iron deficiency and a panty-melting English accent.

Publisher's summary
Allies are turning into enemies. I have enough enemies already, thanks.
So… yesterday was hell. Literally. Now, I find myself asking how a day could be that terrible, while also being the most amazing day of my life.
When I fled my safe haven in the demon realm to deliver news of betrayal and conspiracy to Rans, I thought it meant I was losing everything. Again . Instead, I've just gained the most valuable gift I could ever receive.
I’m hopelessly in love with the last vampire on Earth. That’s hardly a news flash at this point. But I never expected my feelings to be returned…and I’ve never been happier to be wrong. Now he’s mine, and I am his. Our lives are bound inextricably, even unto death.
Of course, at this rate it just might come to that. The demon we thought was our most powerful ally has been using Rans for his own ends. And he’s been doing so for centuries.
Until now, I thought Rans and I were on one side of a war between the demons and the fae. Turns out we’re standing squarely in the middle of the battlefield, and both armies are shooting at us. When both sides are in the wrong, who do you stand with?
Maybe the answer is obvious. I stand with Rans, and he stands with me.
The last vampire and the first demon-fae-human hybrid. Together against the world.
The Last Vampire is a steamy new urban fantasy romance series from USA Today best seller R. A. Steffan and Jaelynn Woolf, coauthors of the Circle of Blood saga.
Download book four today, and enter a world shared by humans, fae, demons, and one very reluctant vampire. It’s a place where the supernatural threatens the mundane, nothing is as it seems, and love will either be the world’s downfall or its salvation.

Since moving to Mystic Harbor, Maine, I've made it my life's mission to avoid Reese Blackburn at all costs. Sure, he has cheekbones that could cut glass, not to mention bedroom eyes that could melt any girl into a puddle on the floor. Too bad that doesn't change the fact he's completely stab-worthy. When a fun night out on the town turns deadly, I quickly discover the quaint little hamlet of Mystic Harbor houses more than sandy beaches and adorable B&Bs. Beneath the New England charm rests a world where shifters, demons, vampires, and angelic hunters all vie for power.

My name is Nate Temple, and I’m secretly a wizard. I ride a foul-mouthed unicorn, I drink with Achilles, and I’m pals with the Four Horsemen. I’ve even cow-tipped the Minotaur. I understand the theory of following the rules...I’m just not very good at the application. Because rules were meant to be broken, and St. Louis has a bit of a supernatural infestation these days. Someone should probably be keeping an eye on these things -and probably an eye on me, too. Before I blow up another building...or three.

Rans & Zorah’s Fantastic Story Continues!
I am loving this amazing series, the storylines R.A Steffan & Jaelynn Woolf have created are interesting and imaginative, they are fascinating and captivate my mind and have me wanting to know what happens next. Rans and Zorah are one of my favorite book couples, they are so good together and they continue work to save the world. In the last book we’ve learned of Nigellus’ treachery and betrayal to Rans, but Rans still needs to work with him. Myrial is still out there threatening to gain power and wreak havoc in hell and on earth. There is plenty of drama, action, twists in this installment as well as some hot romance. I am looking forward to the next book, what happens next with Rans and Zorah and what the new development with Guthrie will bring. Thank you for another awesome story. I listened to the Audible edition, Gwendolyn Druyor is an amazing narrator and voice performer. She continues to bring these characters to life, giving their own voice and personality. She is awesome with the different accents too. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

The complications keep coming in this steamy paranormal romance. As the true nature of some relationships come to light, it becomes more and more of a challenge to know who to trust. The authors and narrator are all doing a fantastic job of keeping me hooked. I can’t wait to see where the storyline goes! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Twists and drama keep the series fresh
The fourth book in The Last Vampire fins Zorah and Rans fighting off foes on seemingly all sides as they try and figure out who they can trust and who they can't. Zorah has definitely come a long way since the start of the series and I enjoyed the character she has become and the journey she has taken in her journey. Things that were set in motion in the earlier books are coming to fruition in the book and it is enjoyable to listen to. The narration by Gwendolyn Druyor is great and she really captures Zorah and the rest of the cast entirely. Her pacing and inflections are enjoyable and she brings the characters to life. A great performance that brings the story to life. Overall it is a great entry in the series and really pushes some storylines to very interesting places that I can't wait to see how they play out. Also, great continual character development keeps this series strong, along with the excellent narration. Couldn't Wait for This Audiobook
As soon as I was notified of the release of this book on Amazon, I grabbed the Kindle version and enjoyed it. I couldn't wait to get the audiobook version of it. Finally, I got it. Once again the performance was good but I still think it was the wrong voice for this story. It didn't take away from the story at all though. Well, I couldn't wait for this book to come out since I really enjoyed books 1-3 on Audible. I was not disappointed and I will more than likely purchase the audio version of this book even though I have already read it. I love how Ran and Zorah's relationship has developed over the past four books. This book was action packed with plenty of hot and steamy scenes. The overall romance of the storyline is awesome. I think I originally had a problem with how clueless Zorah seemed to be in the first two books but I know I was not giving the character a fair shake. How would you react if you were suddenly thrust into a supernatural world you knew nothing about. I can't wait for book five. This book was given to me by request for my unbiased review.
I think I was barely breathing towards the end if this for fear of tipping the scales in the wrong direction. Suspenseful to the very end. An exciting series to follow. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life.

This series just gets better and better with each book I can't get enough. This book kept me on the edge of my seat waiting tsee what happens next. As more and more secrets unfold it just gets more intriguing. I recommend this series, as well as the Circle of Blood series. And as always Gwendolyn Druyor gives a fabulous performance. I was gifted this book at my request in exchange for an honest review.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! good overall
Great twist. Bring on book 5!
This 4th installation of The Last Vampire brings Zorah and Rans to interesting places in their relationship with each other and figuring out the machinations of the demons and fae. This is a very good book, but I do not recommend this as a point of entry into the story. Go back to the beginning and start from there. If you do, you'll get to observe the amazing character growth for Zorah. She was once weak-willed and nearly sniveling. She's been through the other side of several challenges now, so her mettle has been tested. As a reader, I am most impressed with the level of planning that the authors did with this series. Random remarks and characters that might have seeemed inconsequential for the first book are very important now. In fact, there is one whopper of a surprise at the end of this book that connects Zorah to Rans in a new way. I didn't see it coming, but it was quite satisfying. The performance of the audio is up to Druyor's usual excellence. She's a busy narrator for a reason: she's got mad skills and range. Conclusion: Recommended for those who like vampires and urban fantasy with schemes and plots. If this is the first you've heard of the series, go back to the beginning. Note: Word of god is that there 5ht book in the series will come out between now and 2019. An omnibus edition for the entire series should be available in January 2020 if all things work out as they should.
Who Can They Trust?
This is an awesome installment to the series! I love Rans and finally Zorah, she's grown a lot since the beginning. I love her fire and sass now. With so much going on it's hard to know who to trust, especially when things start coming to light. Who is friend and who is foe? There's plenty of steam, mystery, mayhem, action and supernatural antics. The narration was wonderfully done by Gwendolyn Druyor. She's kept the voices the same throughout the books and still manages to give the new characters their own. She truly brings the story to life for the listener and makes the listening experience so much more enjoyable. Between her narration and RA Steffan's awesome writing, this is a series you can't pass up! I love it and can't wait for the next book!! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Twists and turns keep coming!
Another great installment in this series, Zorah and Rans find themselves questioning their alliances as well as needing protection but don’t know who to trust, as more deceptions are unearthed and if you think all has been unveiled, think again…. These authors are masters of layering twists and turns that keep this story moving with action, suspense and heated sex scenes, as they continuously challenge character alliances and spinning their true intentions. Zorah and Rans walk a fine line as they search for answers and ward off enemies, as each new discovery leads to more complications and entanglements so devious that could only spell bad news for all. Gwendolyn Druyor continues a great performance on narration, keeping with the consistencies of the characters’ personalities and distinguished voices. #AudiobookObsession

C. Thomas Lafollette is a student of history and a world traveler. He’s dined with a Prime Minister, read poetry with Yevgeny Yevtushenko, and drank beer with monks. He’s the author of the action-adventure urban fantasy series Luke Irontree & The Last Vampire War and the forthcoming Red City Reaper series. Besides reading and writing, he loves a good action movie, be it a Hollywood blockbuster or a classic Samurai flick, as well as the occasional rom-com. He lives in Portland with his partner – the devastatingly talented author Amy Cissell – his stepdaughter, and their two jerkface cats.
