Description: When you order articles through Media Shower, the writers create article ideas and gain your approval of topics. Youâre then matched with vetted, highly experienced journalists who deliver unique, original material designed to inform and inspire your audience.
After a writer completes the piece, an editor reviews it for quality assurance and corrects mistakes. They then deliver the work to you. This proven process ensures every article you receive meets your needs and reflects your brand.
Pricing: Starting at $2.5K per month with custom pricing based on industry, target audience, and length.
Customer Reviews:
âContent is Media Showerâs strength. They are very good at finding interesting ways to talk about our business and engage our users with our blog.â âDefinitely great value for the money⌠We have been using Media Shower for guest blog posting services, and the quality is what youâd expect to find from companies charging 2-3x as much. Highly recommended.â
Description: When you order articles through Upwork, youâll choose a writer from among the freelancers who âbidâ on the job. Youâll have to do some legwork, as there are as many inexperienced or unqualified writers as seasoned professionals.
While Upwork provides you access to hundreds of thousands of freelancers, the extra work required to individually vet applicants may reduce this article writing serviceâs value.
Pricing: Established between the customer and the writer, ranging from $2 to $100 per article or more.
âI [was] satisfied because I found cheap labor but not quite satisfied with their performance. At first, they were excellent but then they started to let me down more and more. I ended up doing the job myself which is the complete opposite of why I joined in the first place.â âRenato I. via Sitejabber.com
Description: You can order articles quickly and easily through WriterAccess. Writers receive ratings between two and five stars, so youâll pay more for writers who have earned better ratings.
Pricing: Â Platform subscriptions for specialized services start at $39 per month. You can place as many (or as few) orders as you want.
âI have nothing but great things to say about WriterAccess. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. I have been most impressed with the clarity of their writing and the expeditious but professional manner in which they complete the task. Thank you, WriterAccess.â â George B. via the WriterAccess website.
Description: Speed is the name of the game at Bunny Studio Writing, formerly known as Article Bunny. The writing arm of this content company promises fast, high-quality articles from industry professionals.
You can submit an article request for a contest (in which multiple writers pitch their ideas) or a âspeedy,â which means any writer can accept the project and complete it by your deadline. You can also directly book writers.
Pricing: Platform plans start at $49 per month, and âBunny Prosâ sets the prices they will accept for articles of different lengths.
âAbsolutely amazing! This writer knew exactly what I wanted and wrote everything beautifully and on point. I am very excited to share this article!â âSouny West, Collabz founder
Description: Although Constant Content offers article-writing services, it also has a database of already-written articles that customers can purchase. If you create a custom order, youâll complete a questionnaire for the writerâs reference and state how much you want to pay.
Pricing: Depending on the writer, you might pay anywhere from $20 to more than $200 for an article.
âConstant Content ” is a great site for writers and buyers looking for high-quality content. As an internet marketer, the content on the site could probably be too expensive as you can easily hire a writer to write a unique article for much less.â â via IM Report Card
Description: Over the years, Textbroker has developed a reputation for providing inexpensive content for companies. Like WriterAccess, writers receive star ratings based on their output quality and customer reviews.
You can pick a team of writers for your articles or open up each project to individual bidding.
Pricing: Youâll pay anywhere from $0.023 to $0.12 per word based on the writerâs rating and the challenge of the writing itself.
âIâve been an intermittent user of TB services. Iâve found the quality average even for the top-quality service level hence, havenât made heavy use of their service.â â Ray C. via Sitejabber.com âRegarding the service offered, Textbroker is hands down the best option. Thatâs not to say itâs not without bugs. Basically, publishers list articles theyâd like written, then writers claim the articles theyâd like to write. This means articles may go unwritten.â â Cathy R. via Sitejabber.com
Description: When you order articles through iWriter, you fill out a form that details the information you want included in the piece. You can request articles ranging from 150 to 6,000 words in length, and the company promises fast turn-around times.
Pricing: Article prices range from $1.40 to $435, depending on quality and length.
âMy main issue with being a buyer was that my content failed [C]opyscape.â â Tiffany Lambert via TiffanyDow.com âFor me, the delivery time is the biggest advantage of using this service. I mainly use iWriter when I need a piece of content written ASAP. In general, you will usually receive a finished [500-word] article within 3 hours.â â Matthew Barby via MatthewBarby.com
Description: Compose.lyâs self-serve marketplace provides blog content, whitepapers, product descriptions, and other types of content at reasonable prices, but editing and content management are not provided. SEO and keyword optimization is also not included with the self-service marketplace.
Pricing: Starts at $30 for a 200-word product description or $75 for a 500-word blog.
Customer Reviews:Â
âCompose.ly has been a lifesaver for my business regarding getting blogs written. Their team is knowledgeable, timely, and willing to learn about new subject areas to get the writing done competently and professionally. Highly recommend them for anyone needing regular articles produced for their website.â âHarry Shurek via TrustPilot âCompose.lyâs online interface is fast, easy, and fun! The writers are responsive and skilled. The revisions are collaborative, and the turnaround time is hard to beat. â âShari Hobbs via TrustPilot
Description: You can open up an article writing project to the entire stable of Zerys writers or choose a freelancer based on their profile. After you fill out information about what you want your article to include, the writer completes the assignment, and you review it for quality. If you like the article, you pay for it and can publish it on your site.
Zerys doesnât make customers pay unless theyâre satisfied, so the site offers a risk-free article option. However, writer quality will vary significantly.
Pricing: Per-word rates range from $0.01 to $0.50 per word based on the amount of research required and the quality of the finished product.
âI really love this platform. The workflow that the platform automates is exactly on point with the way a professional content marketer would execute a campaign.â âZerys has become a valuable tool for our agency to manage our content development process. Using their platform, weâve tried many writers and narrowed the field to a handful of quality writers that fit well with our style and requirements. Itâs definitely a valued tool for our company.â â Both reviews via Zerys website
Description: Many customers turn to Articlez when they need extremely inexpensive copy for their blogs or other online properties. You can get an article, blog post, âblurb,â or other piece of content cheaply and quickly, but youâll have to sacrifice quality.
The posts donât undergo significant quality assurance before their release to the customer. You may also find grammatical errors. Writers also canât include resource links in the content, so thereâs no way to source information.
Pricing: Gold content is $.05 per word, elite content is $.09 per word, and press releases start at $69.
âI just had my first Press Release order with you guys completed and approved. Very well written compared to others that I have received from other companies. Refreshing.â â John Oszajca â MusicMarketingManifesto.com via Articlez.com âI purchased a couple articles for several of my blogs. I had requested about five articles for about [thirty-five] dollars. It took about eight days for the articles to be delivered to me. That took forever. Some of the articles had a couple grammatical errors. The rest of the articles had so many errors it looked like a third grader attempted to form an essay. I was highly disappointed because it felt like I had to reform the articles, which was pointless to buying them.â â via IM Report Card

An article review is both a summary and an evaluation of another writer's article. Teachers often assign article reviews to introduce students to the work of experts in the field. Experts also are often asked to review the work of other professionals. Understanding the main points and arguments of the article is essential for an accurate summation. Logical evaluation of the article's main theme, supporting arguments, and implications for further research is an important element of a review . Here are a few guidelines for writing an article review.
Education specialist Alexander Peterman recommends: "In the case of a review, your objective should be to reflect on the effectiveness of what has already been written, rather than writing to inform your audience about a subject."
If you have to write an article review, read through the original article closely, taking notes and highlighting important sections as you read. Next, rewrite the article in your own words, either in a long paragraph or as an outline. Open your article review by citing the article, then write an introduction which states the articleâs thesis. Next, summarize the article, followed by your opinion about whether the article was clear, thorough, and useful. Finish with a paragraph that summarizes the main points of the article and your opinions. To learn more about what to include in your personal critique of the article, keep reading the article! Our needs are unique. We require highly complex medical information for doctors treating rare diseases. Each sentence has to be referenced. The first draft of the blog post that was submitted was just okay. The content was medically accurate but not written in the tone we needed. We provided that feedback and a few days later, the draft we got back was close to perfect. We were highly impressed.

I've been using ContentWriters for a few months to write blog posts for DogsBestLife.com. Their work is always thorough and well-written. And they always meet deadlines.

ContentWriters takes the hassle out of recruiting and managing a team of freelance writers, which saves us A LOT of time and stress. I've worked with the ContentWriters team for a number of years now and I'm always happy with their services. They follow up regularly to make sure we're happy with the work provided and will switch writers on request. They're also willing to accommodate when our needs change, whether we need more or less content, need to change the style/tone, or need additional time to review. The system itself is very easy to use and navigate, making tracking multiple projects at once very simple.

The only problem is lack of consistency, this is, to be honest, can be scary, especially for classes. Maybe it's some of the experts you work with. Old companies like EldoWriters or freelance sites are a little expensive but very consistent so my advice; is to please try to work with better experts to improve. Thank you

Hi Lucky! We'd love to look into this but wonder if you are thinking of a different company, as we don't have any record of your projects on file. Please reach out to [email protected] if we are mistaken!
I was looking for blog writing service that will arm me with meaningful content for my FinTech startup. I tried a few services, but none hold a candle to ContentWriters. The writers just understood me, my brand, and my business. It's as if I have worked with them for years prior. They used the right tone and language, clearly knew the audience I was addressing, and provided great research for my topics. I'm excited about this long term partnership.

I've been a writer/editor/proofreader for ContentWriters for over 3 years, They're one my most collegial clients. I couldn't ask for a better support team, and the platform is very user-friendly. They're also great about paying on time. My only complaint is their pay rate. Expect to earn $7 for editing a 1,000-word document, whether it's nearly perfect or screaming for a complete rewrite. You won't get rich with ContentWriters, but the projects will add up if you're competent and reliable.

For over a year, I've used ContentWriters for social posts, blogs and other copy that I need for B2B tech marketing. They're timely and always provide the content I ask for the first time. Very rarely do I need to ask for edits. And if I do, it's usually because I neglected to "ask" and provide the initial direction. It's an excellent service and well-priced! Thanks so much!

I am the PR Director for a major law firm in Philadelphia and am continually impressed by the service and content provided Content Writers. I would highly recommend them to any business in need of white papers or blog posts. If there was an option for "10 STARS", I would give them that rating!

Working remotely as a contracted (freelance) writer and editor at CW, I can see much of what goes on as part of their internal process. All signs indicate that it's a highly transparent, human, and friendly company. I'm proud to work with them.

I've used ContentWriters for a couple of blog posts and to deep edit an aging white paper. I was new to the role and we were transitioning out of a full-service agency, so there were a lot of firsts. They were patient with my learning curve. I realized that whenever there was something I didn't like, it had to do with something not being clearly explained in the briefing. The overall results were great - quick, professional and efficient.

I have been freelancing as an editor/proofreader for Contentwriter.com for the last 16 months. I'm pleased with the culture of the company, including each admin. The response time is very fast for any questions or concerns I may have. They have a user-friendly platform for assignments and payments. The assignments are given in advance and the payments are timely.
Date of experience : September 12, 2019
Disappointing. Maybe I did not get a senior writer allocated to my request, but the writing was choppy and even after a rewrite it was still choppy. I requested a press release and it just didn't flow and wasn't written the way a seasoned professional/seasoned writer would compose a news/media story. They did, however, provide a quick turnaround on the job, and if you are in a pinch for a fast turnaround I would say go for it.

Hi Christine! We are sorry to hear that your press release didn't meet your expectations. ContentWriters offers a 100% Satisfaction Policy; if you're not happy with the work even after a round of revisions, we will provide a full refund. Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss. We're always working to improve and value your feedback greatly. Thank you.
This is a really great service - and the people who work there are very professional. At one point, I reached out with different information than one of my co-workers, and the account manager made a point to clear up the communication issues with us before moving forward. The quality of the writing is great too - it's worth it to pay a bit extra for the more experienced writers, in my opinion. Very good work!

ContentWriters have done a superb job of not only writing us great content, but also capturing the voice and essence of our company in the content they provide. Revisions are always made in a timely fashion if needed, and customer support is great.

One of the best content companies I've written for, and I have worked with almost all of them at one point or another. Very respectful of their writers and they offer some great work opportunities for pretty good rates.
Content Writers has been a great way to expand our content team. They're nice about revisions and working through a piece if your vision doesn't match up with the final product. Once you find a good writer, it's smooth sailing!

An article review is a critical evaluation of a scholarly or scientific piece, which aims to summarize its main ideas, assess its contributions, and provide constructive feedback. A well-written review not only benefits the author of the article under scrutiny but also serves as a valuable resource for fellow researchers and scholars. Follow these steps to create an effective and informative article review:
1. Understand the purpose: Before diving into the article, it is important to understand the intent of writing a review. This helps in focusing your thoughts, directing your analysis, and ensuring your review adds value to the academic community.
2. Read the article thoroughly: Carefully read the article multiple times to get a complete understanding of its content, arguments, and conclusions. As you read, take notes on key points, supporting evidence, and any areas that require further exploration or clarification.
3. Summarize the main ideas: In your review’s introduction, briefly outline the primary themes and arguments presented by the author(s). Keep it concise but sufficiently informative so that readers can quickly grasp the essence of the article.
4. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses: In subsequent paragraphs, assess the strengths and limitations of the article based on factors such as methodology, quality of evidence presented, coherence of arguments, and alignment with existing literature in the field. Be fair and objective while providing your critique.
5. Discuss any implications: Deliberate on how this particular piece contributes to or challenges existing knowledge in its discipline. You may also discuss potential improvements for future research or explore real-world applications stemming from this study.
6. Provide recommendations: Finally, offer suggestions for both the author(s) and readers regarding how they can further build on this work or apply its findings in practice.
7. Proofread and revise: Once your initial draft is complete, go through it carefully for clarity, accuracy, and coherence. Revise as necessary, ensuring your review is both informative and engaging for readers.

A Critical Review of “The Effects of Social Media on Mental Health”
Introduction:
“The Effects of Social Media on Mental Health” is a timely article which investigates the relationship between social media usage and psychological well-being. The authors present compelling evidence to support their argument that excessive use of social media can result in decreased self-esteem, increased anxiety, and a negative impact on interpersonal relationships.
Strengths and weaknesses:
One of the strengths of this article lies in its well-structured methodology utilizing a variety of sources, including quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. This approach provides a comprehensive view of the topic, allowing for a more nuanced understanding of the effects of social media on mental health. However, it would have been beneficial if the authors included a larger sample size to increase the reliability of their conclusions. Additionally, exploring how different platforms may influence mental health differently could have added depth to the analysis.
Implications:
The findings in this article contribute significantly to ongoing debates surrounding the psychological implications of social media use. It highlights the potential dangers that excessive engagement with online platforms may pose to one’s mental well-being and encourages further research into interventions that could mitigate these risks. The study also offers an opportunity for educators and policy-makers to take note and develop strategies to foster healthier online behavior.
Recommendations:
Future researchers should consider investigating how specific social media platforms impact mental health outcomes, as this could lead to more targeted interventions. For practitioners, implementing educational programs aimed at promoting healthy online habits may be beneficial in mitigating the potential negative consequences associated with excessive social media use.
Conclusion:
Overall, “The Effects of Social Media on Mental Health” is an important and informative piece that raises awareness about a pressing issue in today’s digital age. Given its minor limitations, it provides valuable

Car dealerships across North America continue to wrestle with major disruptions that started last week with cyberattacks on a software company used widely in the auto retail sales sector (AP video: Mike Householder)
FILE - Vehicles sit in a row outside a dealership, June 2, 2024, in Lone Tree, Colo. Car dealerships across North America have faced a major disruption this week. NEW YORK (AP) â Car dealerships in North America are still wrestling with major disruptions that started last week with cyberattacks on a company whose software is used widely in the auto retail sales sector.
CDK Global, a company that provides software for thousands of auto dealers in the U.S. and Canada, was hit by back-to-back cyberattacks Wednesday. That led to an outage that has continued to impact operations.
For prospective car buyers, thatâs meant delays at dealerships or vehicle orders written up by hand. Thereâs no immediate end in sight, but CDK says it expects the restoration process to take âseveral daysâ to complete.
On Monday, Group 1 Automotive Inc., a $4 billion automotive retailer, said it is using âalternative processesâ to sell cars to its customers. Lithia Motors and AutoNation, two other dealership chains, also disclosed that they implemented workarounds to keep their operations going.
Here is what you need to know.
CDK Global is a major player in the auto sales industry. The company, based just outside of Chicago in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, provides software technology to dealers that helps with day-to-day operations â like facilitating vehicle sales, financing, insurance and repairs.
CDK serves more than 15,000 retail locations across North America, according to the company.
CDK experienced back-to-back cyberattacks on Wednesday. The company shut down all of its systems after the first attack out of an abundance of caution, according to spokesperson Lisa Finney, and then shut down most systems again following the second.
âWe have begun the restoration process,â Finney said in an update over the weekend â noting that the company had launched an investigation into the âcyber incidentâ with third-party experts and notified law enforcement.
âBased on the information we have at this time, we anticipate that the process will take several days to complete, and in the interim we are continuing to actively engage with our customers and provide them with alternate ways to conduct business,â she added.
In messages to its customers, the company has also warned of âbad actorsâ posing as members or affiliates of CDK to try to obtain system access by contacting customers. It urged them to be cautious of any attempted phishing.
The incident bore all the hallmarks of a ransomware attack, in which targets are asked to pay a ransom to access encrypted files. But CDK declined to comment directly â neither confirming or denying if it had received a ransom demand.
âWhen you see an attack of this kind, it almost always ends up being a ransomware attack,â Cliff Steinhauer, director of information security and engagement at the National Cybersecurity Alliance. âWe see it time and time again unfortunately, (particularly in) the last couple of years. No industry and no organization or software company is immune.â
Several major auto companies â including Stellantis, Ford and BMW â confirmed to The Associated Press last week that the CDK outage had impacted some of their dealers, but that sales operations continue.
In light of the ongoing situation, a spokesperson for Stellantis said Friday that many dealerships had switched to manual processes to serve customers. That includes writing up orders by hand.
A Ford spokesperson added that the outage may cause âsome delays and inconveniences at some dealers and for some customers.â However, many Ford and Lincoln customers are still getting sales and service support through alternative routes being used at dealerships.
âThe people whoâve been around longer â you know, guys who have maybe a little salt in their hair like me â we remember how to do it before the computers,â said John Crane of Hawk Auto Group, a Westmont, Illinois-based dealership operator that uses CDK. âItâs just a few more steps and a little bit more time.â
Although impacted Hawk Auto dealerships are still able to serve customers by âgoing back to the basics,â Crane added that those working in administration are still âpulling out our hair.â He notes that there are now stacks of paper awaiting processing â in place of orders that went through automatically on a computer overnight.
Group 1 Automotive Inc. said Monday that the incident has disrupted its business applications and processes in its U.S. operations that rely on CDKâs dealersâ systems. The company said that it took measures to protect and isolate its systems from CDKâs platform.
In regulatory filings, Lithia Motors and AutoNation disclosed that last weekâs incident at CDK had disrupted their operations as well.
Lithia said it activated cyber incident response procedures, which included âsevering business service connections between the companyâs systems and CDKâs.â AutoNation said it also took steps to protect its systems and data, adding that all of its locations remain open âalbeit with lower productivity,â as many are served manually or through alternative processes.
With many details of the cyberattacks still unclear, customer privacy is also at top of mind â especially with little known about what information may have been compromised this week.
If youâve bought a car from a dealership thatâs used CDK software, cybersecurity security experts stress that itâs important to assume your data may have been breached. That could potentially include âpretty sensitive information,â Steinhauer noted, like your social security number, employment history, income and current or former addresses.
Those impacted should monitor their credit â or even freeze their credit as an added layer of defense â and consider signing up for identify theft monitor insurance. Youâll also want to be wary of any phishing attempts. Itâs best to make sure you have reliable contact information for a company by visiting their official website, for example, as scammers sometimes try to take advantage of news about data breaches to gain your trust through look-alike emails or phone calls.
Those are some best practices to keep in mind whether youâre a victim of CDKâs data breach or not, Steinhauer said. âUnfortunately, in this day and age, our data is a valuable target â and you have to make sure that youâre taking steps to protect it,â he said.

Offers term policies alongside accelerated death benefits for critical, chronic, and terminal illnesses and more.
Best Term Policy.
While there's many different types of life insurance policies , broadly speaking, there are two types of life insurance: temporary and permanent. Let's go over each in detail.
Temporary life insurance is often called term life insurance. This type of policy covers you for a set amount of time before expiring, usually between 10-30 years. If you pass away after your policy expires, your family won't receive any benefits. Additionally, your policy won't accrue cash value like a permanent policy. That said, some term life insurance policies offer a conversion from term to whole life insurance, so you can extend your coverage.
Because its benefits aren't guaranteed, term life policies are generally cheaper than permanent life insurance. That said, the vast majority of term life insurance policies never pay out. on
Permanent life insurance is an umbrella term for a variety of life insurance policies that will insure you indefinitely and guarantee a payout as long as you maintain your policy. Policy types that fall under permanent life insurance includes:
These policies vary widely in purpose and intended buyers, but all guarantee death benefits to your loved ones. Some permanent life insurance policies, like whole, universal, and variable have a cash value component , which you can use as a savings tool or to leave your heirs a larger death benefit.
Finding the right fit in life insurance starts with finding a trusted insurance agent. Because there are so many state regulations, shopping for homeowners or auto insurance can be easily done online. Life insurance is not required. So it's a voluntary purchase. Many buyers don't know what they need or when they need it. Before making your selection, consider a few things:
Some companies will sell you a policy for your child as soon as they're born. While this may seem morbid, early sign-up means lower rates for a policy your child could enjoy in the future. Regardless, early sign-up equates to more policy for lower premiums and a higher likelihood of acceptance. At 20, you may be healthier and be able to pay into the policy for a longer period compared to when you're 50 with more age-related conditions.
As a general rule, never agree to more than you can afford. For the average life insurance agent, their job is to sell you a large policy with a large commission. Consider not only how much you make now, but how likely your current income is to continue. If you work on a project basis and your project is scheduled to end in 12 months, you may want to reconsider a policy premium outside your monthly savings.
How much are you prepared to buy? Some people only want a small policy to cover funerals and other end-of-life expenses. Others build a life policy into their retirement plan. Whatever direction you're going, involving a financial planner could help you make the right decisions. Depending on the carrier, customers can also compare set limits with index universal life policies, which set no limit. These policies never expire, and the value builds over the entirety of your life.
Living Benefits
Life happens unexpectedly. You could be healthy one day and in the hospital the next. Many life policies offer living benefits. These allow you to draw a limited amount out of your policy to cover medical and other bills you cannot pay while sick.
Much like a 401(k), many life insurance policies have penalties for early withdrawal. No matter what policy you want, this question is critical to an informed decision. It's a question of how early you can withdraw and how much you'll lose from the total to have the money in 10 years instead of 30 or after death.
Some policies require insured parties to pay premiums for at least one year before any significant payout would be available. Suicide exclusions are common. Even with no medical exam policies, the company may still do a check for known conditions. An insurance company has to mitigate its risk.
Flexibility
Once you've been denied a life insurance policy, a mark goes on your record. No matter the reasons, other insurance companies may deny you coverage based on the first denial. So consider your whole situation and choose your policy carefully before you submit any applications. Some policies have greater flexibility if you lose your job or otherwise can't make payments. Others will lapse if you miss even one payment.
Payment Type
Even within whole life or term life insurance policies, customers have the option to choose guaranteed fixed or variable rates. Some have guaranteed payouts, but you'll need to ask your agent for details.
What is your intended use? Why are you shopping for a life insurance policy in the first place, and what are your goals? Many successful financial planners also have a background in life insurance. So while they may not be able to find you a specific life insurance policy, financial planners can help you set out a blueprint for your purchase.
In life insurance, it's easy to get "sold a bill of goods." Many life insurance agents pass a state test to be thrown into the deep end. Agents sell the company product, but not all know the products. In this vein, we look at the products each company offers. We also look at agent training.
A good life insurance agent may not volunteer all facts upfront. But a company's agents should answer questions about its products accurately and in a way the average consumer can digest. Agents should be able to inform you about the long-term benefits and limitations. This will help customers find the right policy for their long-term plan.
We consider affordability, policy sizes available, and performance for a comprehensive assessment in our life insurance rating methodology . If you can, we recommend also working with a financial advisor to make a plan for your future with life insurance.
To inform our choices for the best life insurance companies, we spoke with the following experts:
How much life insurance coverage do you believe the average buyer should have.
Paul LaPiana, Head of Product at MassMutual
"There are different approaches to determining how much life insurance you need. One is the 'human life' approach, which estimates the current value of your future earning potential. Another is securing specific coverage to pay off debts such as a mortgage or provide for the education of children. A comprehensive protection plan should provide the right amount of coverage over the course of your working life and into retirement."
Barbara A. Pietrangelo, Chair of Life Happens
"There is no one-size-fits-all life insurance policy because everyone is different. One way to get a rough estimate is to multiply your income by 10 to 15; another is adding $100,00 to that amount, should you have a child and anticipate college education expenses.
Your best bet is to talk to a financial professional or use the Life Insurance Needs Calculator on LifeHappens.org to analyze what's right for you."
Wykeeta Peel, Corporate Vice President & Market Manager African American Market Unit at New York Life
"As you consider what policy best meets your needs, it can help to answer four key questions: First, how much death benefit do you need? Second, how long will you need that coverage? Third, what is your budget (or how much monthly premium can you afford to pay?), and finally, what is your investment risk tolerance?
To determine how much death benefit makes sense, it's helpful to think beyond using life insurance to cover funeral expenses and consider whether anyone is relying on the policy owner's income to maintain a lifestyle, pay rent or a mortgage, or fund a child's education and for how long.
There are various rules of thumb regarding the right amount of Life insurance coverage. Some tips can be found online, but they only provide an estimate and don't necessarily factor in an individual's specific needs. In my opinion, human guidance, powered by technology, is required. Basically, it comes down to how much money your loved ones would need to remain on firm financial ground if your earnings were no longer in the picture and that is different for everyone."
"Increased accessibility through digital and other channels as well as through underwriting enhancements. Increased tailoring of products and features. And an increased emphasis on health and wellness programs."
"Having enough qualified insurance professionals to walk potential buyers through the multiple benefits of life insurance will be pivotal to the growth of the industry. Education is a key factor here, as professional agents also need to be able to explain life insurance and its benefits in an easy, digestible way, especially when there are so many misconceptions about life insurance."
"The need for life insurance is greater than ever. In fact, a recent New York Life Wealth Watch survey found that 37% of adults have been thinking about life insurance more often these days â and half of adults report that financial products that provide protection (50%) and reliability (50%) are more important now compared to last year. This may be especially true for middle-market and Cultural Market families.
Our organizational structure of having Cultural Market agents embedded in the communities where we live and work allows us to understand the needs of diverse communities and develop solutions that resonate with them."
"It is difficult to say with any certainty how healthy you will be years from now. That's why securing life insurance, and insuring your insurability, today, when you are the youngest you'll ever be again, and perhaps your healthiest is a wise decision."
"Do you love someone? If the answer is yes, then life insurance is certainly something you should consider. Many buy gifts and experiences to express their love, but haven't considered that life insurance is just another way to say I love you. Nothing says support like ensuring your family's financial security and peace of mind."
"If you have someone depending on your income, you should consider purchasing life insurance. A death benefit from a life insurance policy can replace income from the loss of a breadwinner, ensure a family can stay in their home, fund educational or retirement expenses, address debt and so much more.
A life insurance policy can also help you grow your family's wealth over time. Once the risk of an unexpected loss has been managed, you can begin to think more broadly about your family's financial future. Life insurance can enable your mindset to shift from death to growth."
"With life insurance, you are securing a future commitment that may be decades away. Research the company behind the policy to ensure it has high financial strength ratings, longevity, and an excellent track record of paying claims."
"When looking for an insurance agent or company, be sure to do your research. When comparing companies, be sure to remember that the policy features that fit you and your loved ones best is the most important factor. Don't automatically assume you should buy from the higher-rated company.
If the policy from the other company has more of what you're looking for, it might be the better choice. If you're unsure where to start, try the Life Happens Agent Locator to find an insurance professional in your area."
According to JD Power's 2023 life insurance study, State Farm is the highest-rated life insurance company when it comes to overall customer satisfaction. However, you still may want to shop around for quotes from various insurers if you're looking to purchase a new policy.
There isn't one best life insurance company, because the best option for you will depend on the type of policy you're looking for. It's best to work with a qualified insurance agent to help you find the best coverage. If you're deciding between multiple similar options, it's also worth consulting J.D. Power's life insurance customer satisfaction study . The latest study ranks State Farm as the top pick for individual life insurance, outpacing Nationwide by three points.
The best type of life insurance policy for you will differ from someone else's, as your policy should be tailored to your needs. The best policy for you will be affordable and will offer the benefits best suited to your situation. For example, some policies are only meant to cover end-of-life expenses such as burial and funeral arrangements, whereas others include living benefits like a cash value insurance plan , which you can borrow against during your lifetime.
Some life insurance policies are advertised as "no medical exam." This doesn't mean the insurer won't ask you about known conditions or look at medical records. Policies with no medical exam also tend to offer lower benefits with higher premiums. Most companies have a network of medical examiners, some of whom can come to your home. You can find our guide on the best no exam life insurance here.
Each situation is different and requires a knowledgeable life insurance agent to assess your best options. Bring all your questions and the coverage you're looking for to an insurance agent near you to explore your options.
Unveiling the recent advances in micro-electrode materials and configurations for sodium-ion micro-batteries.

The recent advances in portable and smart devices require modern microelectronics to be miniaturized, leading to the need for small, lightweight, reliable, and on-chip integrated energy storage systems like rechargeable micro-batteries (ÎźBs). Nowadays, sodium-ion micro-batteries (SIÎźBs) are one of the competitive applicants and attractive candidates due to their superior performance compared to lithium alternatives in terms of cost, resources, safety, and high power. Despite these advantages, SIÎźBs can increase their energy density by selecting proper micro-electrodes (ÎźEs). This review covers the latest developments in the state-of-the-art of electrode materials and one-, two-, and three-dimensional configurations for high-performance SIÎźBs in different applications. In particular, the focus is on selecting electrode materials based on electrodes' sodium storage mechanisms and safety issues that effectively improve SIÎźBs performance and future challenges. Opportunities in this area are also discussed. Subsequently, recent achievements of different configurations technology of ÎźEs associated with the various active materials and manufacturing methods of them are explained to achieve high energy density SIÎźBs. Ultimately, the potential future of advanced SIÎźBs based on the current progress establishes practical pathways for research and industry.

Years before becoming The Postâs publisher, Will Lewis assigned an article based on stolen phone records, a former reporter said.
By Justin Scheck and Jo Becker
Reporting from London
The publisher and the incoming editor of The Washington Post, when they worked as journalists in London two decades ago, used fraudulently obtained phone and company records in newspaper articles, according to a former colleague, a published account of a private investigator and an analysis of newspaper archives.
Will Lewis, The Postâs publisher, assigned one of the articles in 2004 as business editor of The Sunday Times. Another was written by Robert Winnett, whom Mr. Lewis recently announced as The Postâs next executive editor.
The use of deception, hacking and fraud is at the heart of a long-running British newspaper scandal, one that toppled a major tabloid in 2010 and led to years of lawsuits by celebrities who said that reporters improperly obtained their personal documents and voice mail messages.
Mr. Lewis has maintained that his only involvement in the controversy was helping to root out problematic behavior after the fact, while working for Rupert Murdochâs News Corporation .
But a former Sunday Times reporter said on Friday that Mr. Lewis had personally assigned him to write an article in 2004 using phone records that the reporter understood to have been obtained through hacking.
After that story broke, a British businessman who was the subject of the article said publicly that his records had been stolen. The reporter, Peter Koenig, described Mr. Lewis as a talented editor â one of the best he had worked with. But as time went on, he said Mr. Lewis changed.
