The onetime accused child-killer appears to have launched a private investigation firm in Florida, public records show.

Paperwork for a new company called “Case Research & Consulting Services LLC” was filed with the Florida Division of Corporation under Anthony’s name on Dec. 14.

The new venture, first reported by The Daily Mail , comes a few years after Anthony — who was acquitted of murder in the June 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee — set up a photography business , which shuttered in 2018.

The 34-year-old was convicted of felony charges of lying to authorities in the high-profile case, meaning she can’t hold a PI license in Florida, according to the Mail.

She moved to West Palm Beach not long after an Orlando jury found her not guilty of killing her daughter in 2011.

Anthony reportedly  moved in with Pat McKenna , a private investigator for her defense team, and later announced she’s  working on a movie  about her daughter’s mysterious death.

The West Palm Beach address listed for the gumshoe shop is associated with McKenna, who was the lead private investigator for Anthony’s defense team in the 2011 trial.

He was also an investigator for OJ Simpson’s defense team.

Filings show Anthony listed as the sole agent of the business, which is set to officially launch on Jan. 1.

She didn’t return a message Wednesday night.

Casey Anthony is the owner of a new private investigation company but she's not legally allowed to privately investigate.

Here's the deal ... Anthony just opened her own P.I. company in West Palm Beach --- Case Research & Consulting Services, LLC -- but state officials tell us she hasn't even filed for a P.I. license in Florida, so she can't legally do any investigating herself.

It's possible Casey's intention was to hire legit private eyes to work for her ... but if she wants to put in her own work as a P.I., she's got to navigate some hoops and hurdles.

Casey's gotta get a Class C license to work as a private eye in Florida, a lengthy process requiring 2 years of training, a background check and a state exam.

As you know, it's been nearly a decade since Casey was acquitted in the death of her daughter, Caylee ... and state officials tell us they would need to review her criminal history to determine if she's even eligible for the Class C license.

For now, Casey's gotta be hands-off and essentially act as the figurehead at her company ... because unlicensed P.I. work could lead to fines or criminal penalties.

Records show Casey Anthony is starting private investigation firm in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — State records show that Casey Anthony has filed documents to start a private investigation firm in Palm Beach County.

Anthony, who was acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, nine years ago, filed the paperwork with the Florida Division of Corporations in mid-December.

The limited liability company, Case Research & Consulting Services, has an effective date of Jan. 1, according to state records.

The address listed for the company belongs to Patrick McKenna, according to Palm Beach County property records.

McKenna was the lead investigator on Anthony's defense team during her 2011 trial.

Anthony was acquitted of her daughter’s murder and child abuse and manslaughter charges.

Casey anthony files to open private eye business in west palm beach.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Casey Anthony recently launched a private investigation business out of South Florida, state business records show.

Anthony was acquitted in 2011 on charges related to the disappearance and death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, in Orange County. She was found guilty of providing false information to law enforcement and sentenced to four years with credit for time served.

According to sister station WKMG, Anthony filed with the Florida Division of Corporation on Dec. 14 to create an LLC titled “Case Research & Consulting Services LLC.” The business is under Anthony’s name and has an address in West Palm Beach.

The address on Cortez Road is associated with private eye Pat McKenna, known for his connections to the O.J. Simpson trial. He was also a consultant on Anthony’s case. According to the Palm Beach Post, Anthony lives and works with McKenna.

Anthony does not have a Florida private investigator’s license, according to state records.

The Daily Mail was the first to report Anthony’s new business venture.

WESH notes that even though the 34-year-old can't ever get a private investigator's license herself—she's a felon who was convicted of lying to authorities about Caylee's death—there's no law on the books preventing her from doing research and reviewing public records. Casey anthony files to start private investigation business in south florida.

Anthony is listed as the registered agent of Case Research & Consulting Services, LLC, which filed its first documents Dec. 14 with an effective date of Jan. 1. The Daily Mail first reported the development Wednesday afternoon.

The business is registered to a home owned by Patrick McKenna, according to county property records.

McKenna was the lead investigator on Anthony’s defense team during her 2011 trial on allegations of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008.

Anthony was acquitted of the murder charge alongside charges of aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child but found guilty on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement officers in the course of Caylee’s missing person investigation.

Anthony has worked for McKenna over the past few years, telling the Associated Press in 2017 she did “online social media searches and investigative work” for him.

State business records show Anthony previously registered another business to McKenna’s address in 2015, a photography company called Case Photography that was dissolved in 2018.

State records show Anthony is not currently licensed as a private investigator in Florida. The licensure process includes passing an examination on state laws, holding at least two years of work experience in the investigative field and passing a background check.

According to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which regulates the licensing of private investigators, applicants for a Class C Private Investigator License may not have been convicted of an offense “punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding 1 year” until applicants have had their civil rights restored and 10 years have passed since they were released from supervision.

Additionally, applicants can be denied for having a history of “being arrested for crimes of violence and/or found guilty of … directly related crimes.”

The Junior League of Boca Raton has appointed Nicole Stelzer as its new president for the 2024-2025 season. It also announced a new board of directors.
