a mobile app pitch deck

Mobile apps are continuing their impressive steady growth globally: app installs were up 31% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021 . Gaming, health, social, ecommerce and fintech are a few examples of the many industries that are shaken by mobile applications.

Most mobile apps aren’t boostrapped yet: due to the level of upfront investment in product development, most mobile apps need to raise multiple funding rounds from investors.

Whilst every business is unique, we strongly recommend to follow a clear structure vetted by dozens of high-profile VC firms globally. Having a powerful and clear pitch deck will maximise your chances of raising capital from potential investors.

In this article we walk you through the 14 slides you must have in your Mobile app pitch deck and what they should include. Read on.

Which slides should you include?

Every business is unique. Yet, venture capital firms and investors alike all agree on a common structure which we have laid out opposite.

Your Mobile App pitch deck will likely be slightly different depending on whether you are pre-seed, seed or Series A+. Indeed, if you are pre-revenue for instance, you might not have early traction at all.

Another example is for pre-seed startups which haven’t yet found product-market fit: they might not have a clear roadmap nor a tech stack.

As rule of thumb, the more advanced your startup is the more content you should have in your pitch deck .

Beware of endless, repetitive presentations: have clear titles, separate slides for each different topic.

We have laid out below a verified, clear structure you should follow for your Mobile App pitch deck. The structure is valid for any type of Mobile App startup: pre-seed to Series A+.

Slide 1: Title

This is the front page of your presentation.

Make sure your product or value proposition is clear from the outset: use a screenshot of your mobile application for instance.

Slide 2: The Problem

This is the “why” of your business.

The greatest businesses are solving big problems, yet they aren’t necessarily obvious . For instance, if your mobile app aims to connect sports enthusiasts with athletes so they can watch dedicated short training videos, make it clear here. Your mobile app is breaking the ice wall between inaccessible and famous athletes and their fans.

Ideally you would list the 2/3 friction points you aim to fix. For instance, digitalisation usually fixes multiple problems at once: it is fast, seamless and accessible (vs. slow, prone to errors and non-readily available / accessible solutions).

Slide 3: The Solution

Your startup builds and commercialises a product and/or a service which solves the problem laid out on slide 2. This slide should not explain in detail your product nor how it works. Instead, focus on the benefits for your customers .

Ideally, you should compare the pain points explained on slide 2 (the problem) to the benefits your solution brings to your customers. That way, it is crystal clear to investors your solution really adds value to potential customers .

Following our mobile app example above, the benefits could be:

  • Accessibility to world-class athletes tricks and trainings
  • Engage with like-minded sports communities (you would share experiences and tips between fans)
  • Monetisation opportunity for tier 2 athletes who can give dedicated paid lessons for instance

Slide 4: Market Opportunity

Here, you need to clearly identify 2 very important metrics:

  • Market size : how big is your market?
  • Market growth: how fast does your market grow?

If you are operating in a niche market, chances are that you will face some challenges: the information might not be publicly available. In any case, you should be able to make a high-level estimation of your market. Read our article on market sizing and how to estimate TAM, SAM and SOM for your startup .

When looking for these metrics, you have multiple sources of information: public reports, specialised press, etc. Even public companies publish press releases and annual reports including some of their proprietary market estimates so be sure to look there too.

Slide 5: Competition

This slide must show 2 different things:

How fragmented is your market?

Are there 3 big players sharing 90% market share or thousands of small players? Here, refer to public market reports and your own understanding of the competitive landscape .

A few questions you could ask yourself, among others:

  • Who are your competitors?
  • Are they local, regional, national or global?
  • Do they have mobile and/or desktop applications?

Where do you position yourself vs. competition?

Is your solution a game changer other competitors don’t have (yet)? Do you have competitors with similar products/services?

Ideally, you would create a small table with, for each type of competitors (e.g. mobile apps, web apps players, etc.) the main characteristics they share or not. For instance, do they all a global presence? Do they cover all the products you offer? Do they offer both a desktop and mobile app, or just mobile app? What is their relative price positioning (expensive vs. accessible)?

Slide 6: Product

Explain what your product is and how it works. For instance: is the registration / onboarding seamless or needs approval (e.g. KYC for fintech apps)? Is your app collaborative (e.g. chatbox, messaging) or not?

What about your tech stack?

If you are a tech startup, it’s always good to include details about your tech stack.

Be careful not to go into too many specifics though: investors aren’t always engineer by training. Do not put things like the programming language you have chosen (e.g. React Native, Python) or the database provider (Firebase, MongoDB). Save it for the voice-over or the appendix instead.

Instead, include things such as:

  • whether you have a white-labelled solution or a proprietary back-end / database
  • how many full time front/back-end engineers you have
  • how much you invested already in your tech

Slide 7: Revenue Model

This slide is very important. Now that we have clearly identified the problem you are solving and the benefits of your solution, let’s have a closer look at how you generate revenue.

Mobile app are generating revenues from a number of sources, usually there are 3 main sources:

  • Subscription revenue : you offer a tiered system, freemium or not (free plan) users need to pay for (monthly or annual billing cycle)
  • Ads revenue : you display ads on your app (e.g. gaming) and earn revenue for each “ impression “. For example, you could entice users to subscribe to a paid plan to get rid of ads. As such, you would only earn ads revenue for selected subscription plan(s).
  • Affiliate revenue : if your mobile app allows transactions between sellers and buyers (e.g. gaming, marketplace), you earn a commission every time a product is being transacted. The commission can be 100% (“credits” in game apps) or a lower percentage (if you act as intermediary between a external seller and one of your user)

Slide 8: Go-to-market

This slide explains  how you acquire users (or downloads) . Typically, acquisition for mobile apps is 2 fold:

  • Paid marketing : any paid digital marketing campaigns (pay-per-click or per-impressions), whether it is search to your landing page (e.g. Google Ads), social media (e.g. Facebook Ads), referrals or simply pay-per-click on Appstore (e.g. Apple Search Ads)
  • Organic growth : you generate downloads without paying for it. For mobile apps, we typically use the term “virality” instead (refer to our article here on the most important metrics for mobile app businesses for a refresher). In other words, people download your application because of network effects (friends recommendations, invitations) hence these downloads are “free”

Once you have clearly explained your acquisition strategy and what tools you are using (e.g. Apple Search Ads for paid search, social media and content for organic growth), ideally you can show, among others:

  • Your average  Customer Acquisition Cost
  • Cost-per-Install
  • Your monthly paid ads budget
  • The number of followers you have on social media
  • Your newsletter count

Slide 9: Traction

Only include this slide if you already have some early traction. Traction can be revenues for instance, but not necessarily (e.g. if you have sign-ups, free users, etc.).

As rule of thumb, the more historical performance you have, the more details you should give. For instance, if you start generating revenues 12 months ago and experienced a steady growth until then, include a bar chart of your revenues over the past 12 months.

Instead, if you have limited financial performance and/or numbers have been quite volatile, include today’s numbers instead. For instance, how many active users do you have today? What’s your month-over-month user growth? What is your MAU rate as a percentage of total users? Etc.

For a complete list of the 9 most important metrics for Mobile App businesses, refer to our article here .

Slide 10: Team

This slide is one of the most important: investors invest in great teams before anything else.

The slide can either include the co-founding team only, but can also include key professionals and/or advisors as well.

Include key team members if they add real value.

Likewise, only include advisors only if they are relevant to your industry. Do you have angel investors with significant experience who advise you on strategy? Do you have a PhD who acts as advisor to your Health Tech mobile app startup (on regulation and market access matters for instance)?

For the team members’ details, keep it simple: name, position, years of experience and/or previous companies is more than enough.

Note: add a clickable link to the respective Linkedin profiles so investors can refer to a more exhaustive resume for your team members (if relevant)

Slide 11: Roadmap

The roadmap slide tells investors where you are going and how is product going to evolve in the future. You can either keep it high-level (e.g. your long-term strategy) or more detailed (e.g. the pipeline of the near-future product features).

Investors do not just invest in your product as it is today. For example, you might only have developed a MVP with limited features for early-adopters while your product could be tweaked and serve a much larger customer base in the future.

Note: if you choose to include your product pipeline, keep it very simple. Your mobile app pitch deck isn’t your product manager’s presentation to engineers. Instead of features, focus on the additional benefits and customer segments you might target as such. For instance, if you plan to launch a messaging feature, focus on the fact it will open new growth opportunities (e.g. network effects).

Slide 12: Financial Plan

Along with your product and the team, this slide is highly important. Unfortunately, many startups overlook the importance of financial projections in their Mobile App pitch deck.

Think about your audience: investors (venture capital firms or angel investors) are financially literate individuals . As such, they invest in your business to generate returns. Logically, they care a lot about your financials and more especially, the expected financial performance of your business .

Do not expect investors to make up their own plan for your startup if you haven’t. As CEO, founder or entrepreneur alike, you should have a clear idea of where you are going .

Note: you might be wondering how much it actually cost to build a mobile app. For more information on how much app development actually costs, read our article here .

As rule of thumb, the more advanced your startup is, the more granularity you should include here. Pre-seed startups might keep it short (1 slide) yet we recommend seed and Series A+ startups to include 2 slides instead.

Common mobile app metrics you should include in your financial plan slide are:

  • Active users (e.g. MAUs for instance)
  • ARPU and ARPPU
  • LTV and CAC

Note: when presenting your financials, we recommend for pre-seed startup to show 3 years. Instead, seed and Series A+ startups should include 5 years projections as investors will likely ask for it for their own return analyses purposes.

Slide 13: Funding Ask

All pitch decks have a clear goal: raising capital from investors.

This slide is where you clearly state your ask: how much are you raising?

Read our article on how to determine how much you should raise for you startup . Disclaimer: while raising too little creates obvious problems, raising too much isn’t necessarily better.

On top of the amount, a good practice is to include a pie chart of where you will spend that money over a given period (your runway). Will you spend the bulk of it in product development to build your MVP? Or will you use a large portion in sales & marketing to commercialise your product and find product-market fit?

Our financial model templates all include a cash burn dashboard where you can easily assess how much you should raise, and where you will spend your money. We also included charts ready to be pasted onto your Mobile App pitch deck. See how to use our cash burn dashboard here .

Slide 14: Contact

The last slide of your presentation. It has 2 main goals, this is where:

  • You open the floor to questions from your audience when you are pitching
  • You provide contacts (email and telephone) for investors who would only receive the PDF version of your presentation

How to create a mobile app pitch deck?

presentation for mobile app

Having a brilliant mobile app idea but lacking finances? Unfortunately, the money needed to set a startup afloat often goes beyond most founders' ability to finance. Thus, almost every startup should go through the process of fundraising in order to survive. And it includes mobile app producers as well.

presentation for mobile app

This leads us to the main statement of this article -  learning how to pitch and build a deck itself are the two most essential skills of any startup founder.

If you're looking for a list of components for the victorious pitch deck, tips & tricks, and a FREE mobile app pitch deck template - you're in the right place. Read on or hop over to a specific section using the menu on the left.

What is a pitch deck for mobile apps?

To keep it short, a mobile app pitch deck is a captivating and informative presentation of your app business idea . Since it's the investment you are looking for, it should clearly show and prove the product, market, and development components to the potential investors - they want to be confident in the success of the product they'll potentially be spending lots of money on.

It doesn't mean you need to prepare a whole book explaining your product - fantastic mobile app presentations we've seen start at just 10 to-the-point slides. But what should they contain?

Here's an ideal example of an app pitch deck that includes just 12 slides:

Slide 1: Problem

Slide 2: Solution

Slide 3: Product

Slide 4: Innovation

Slide 5: Testimonials

Slide 6: Market Validation

Slide 7: Main competition

Slide 8: Go-to-market strategy

Slide 9: Business model

Slide 10: Milestones

Slide 11: Team

Slide 12: Investment.

To ensure you bring up the meaningful aspects of your future venture, impress the investors, and, most importantly, spark their trust in your idea - keep up with this guide and use our free mobile app pitch deck example. In the following paragraphs, we'll uncover the "Why?" behind all of these pitch deck components.

Pro Mobile Pitch Deck Tip: Storytelling

The key to delivering information effectively - be it eBooks, presentations, or slide decks - is storytelling. Also, it's the easiest way to trigger emotions.

And by creating an emotional link to your presentation, you're guaranteed to captivate the listeners' attention and make it memorable.

Not sure where to start? Take one of these scripts to base your back story on:

1. The Customer Perspective - a perfect chance to demonstrate your understanding of the target audience and want to appeal to its needs.

  • Describe a customer background and the problem they faced
  • Mention the possible option the customer considered on the way to finding the solution
  • Specify how the customer wound find your mobile app and how it would help them
  • Show the results your app brought for the customer

2. The Industry Perspective - an ideal opportunity to prove that you understand the target industry and its trends.

  • Show the current tendencies of your target industry that were established some time ago but aren't viable anymore
  • Demonstrate how particular tech, economic, or social changes prove that those tendencies don't work for this industry anymore
  • Explain how this gap creates a perfect opportunity for your app to enter the market and take advantage of the changes
  • Demonstrate the understanding of the future impact your product is going to have when filling out the gap

3. The Founder perspective - is my favorite. It's a subtle way of adding a personal touch which is the most emotion-triggering way of telling the story of your mobile app.

  • Describe yourself living carelessly before you faced a certain problem
  • Bring up the problem you encountered with an inability to solve it with existing methods
  • Show the process of forming your unique solution for this very problem
  • Emphasize your expertise with the topic and devotion to resolving the problem with your mobile app

Choose the perspective that you feel mirrors your true motivation. Whichever one you'll go with, use the right components and enough personalization, and you're destined to succeed!

So what are those fundamental must-to-mention pitch deck components? Find out in the next section.

The Necessary Mobile App Pitch Deck Components

The problem, or the pain.

This is one of the most important slides in your pitch deck presentation. Use the rule of three C's: be concise, confident, and clear when describing the problem you're trying to solve and the target audience.

Most importantly, convince the investors that whatever your mobile app addresses are a universal problem worth caring about. How? Back it up with facts and accurate data . And, preferably, collect unbiased feedback about your idea to show off.

The Solution, or the Cure

What does your mobile app do to solve the problem? On this slide, make sure to explain it in a simple way so that everyone can see the value without additional questions. And no need to explain how the mobile works yet - you will do this on the upcoming slides. The Solution slide shouldn't be about your product; this one will go next.

Let's use an example: you need to get from point A to point B. However, you don't have a car, and public transport or a taxi is not an option. That's a problem . The solution , however, would be a car rental service. The product is an app for renting cars online .

Try to recreate the same structure with your own mobile app, and you'll see what the 'Solution' is in your case right away. As easy as it is!

presentation for mobile app

The third slide in the perfect 'how to pitch an idea for an app' deck is the product showtime ! And it's also high time to unveil the prototype s (for simpler apps) or even demonstrate a full proof-of-concept (if your app is a more technically advanced product). You can even use motion design or a catchy video for the WOW effect for product demonstration.

Mobile app prototype is a basic visual model that looks like a real future app and demonstrates its fundamental design/functions but doesn't contain working code.
In its turn, proof of concept is a practical demonstration of whether the app is technically feasible.

Don't have the time or resources to develop those? You can still go with minimal mobile app mockups or any other way of showing what kind of product you have in mind.

Just remember that it's always better to show rather than tell!

Innovation - what hasn't the world seen before?

Here you need to show how your mobile app works (in detail) and what's new about it.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a scientific breakthrough (though it would be awesome if your idea was one!), but it should be different from the others, and you must back it up with actual data - with prior market research and competition comparison , at least.

Testimonials

As mentioned above, it's worth collecting testimonials from the test audience. At least to validate your product and overall idea. It's important to ensure that your mobile app will work in real life, not only on paper.

If you already have a functional application and are just looking for further funding rounds, your app should probably also have some achievements or press mentions . If it does, include them in this slide without hesitation.

Remember : social proof is crucial for decision-making!

Market size

Your next task would be to show an understanding of the market you're trying to enter. The bigger it is, and the bigger your company can potentially become, the better.

But if you're shooting a niche, worry not. You can still prove your app's potential on the Problem/Solution slides. And, on this one as well! Just follow these steps:

  • State where and how similar mobile apps are sold
  • Mention what is the value of sales for you in this market
  • Emphasize why right now is the best moment for your app to enter the market

If you answer these questions concisely and again, backing them up with some accurate data, you're likely to succeed.

Competition

We already mentioned your main rivals in previous sections, however, it's never too much you can know about your competitors .

‍ Keep in mind that you need to prove a point with this slide. Having the 'Competitors' slide in your app pitch deck just to show the competitors makes no sense.

Instead, make a graph/comparison of your main competitors, comparing the most business-crucial metrics like price, quality, safety, speed, customer service, and so on. You can always point out competitors' weaknesses and put them up against your own benefits. And show your mobile app advantages - both noticeable and not so much.

Go-to-market strategy

Do you have a plan for your mobile app promotion/a marketing plan ? You better have it on the time of creating this slide, mainly because this is one of the must-have ways of showing how you'll spend the future investment.

Maybe you already have some ongoing marketing campaigns or a small group ready to adopt the app as soon as it's developed? Perhaps you plan to implement an unusual marketing technique that, in your opinion, will be perfect for your niche?

Show them off in your mobile app pitch deck, too!

Business model

Your app pitch deck should definitely include the business model slides, which will basically be an answer to the question: 'How are you going to earn money?' .

To help you convincingly answer this question, we collected some of the clarifying points:

  • Demonstrate your proposed revenue stream , and its potential
  • Mention the subscription model of your mobile application
  • Display the expected revenue goals

A perfect solution for this pitch deck slide would be a graph demonstrating the step-by-step development process of your mobile application.

The visual aspect will assist in clearly demonstrating each turning point of your app and convincing the audience that you know exactly what to do to make your product a big hit .

You may also like:  The Key Mobile App Deliverables

Now is the time to showcase your best talents: introduce your outstanding team members .

Add faces, positions, and previous experience/achievements of developers, designers, marketers, salespeople, and other crucial team members to prove your readiness to implement the goals above in the nearest future!

Last but not least - how much money you'll need exactly? Yes, it can be a little less comfortable to present than the previous slides of your mobile app pitch deck. But that's actually the goal of your whole presentation! So, treat it as a proposal for further negotiations.

Make sure to answer the following questions:

  • What's the specific sum you need for your app to succeed?
  • Why do you need this specific amount ? For what?
  • How much equity are you ready to give in exchange?

We're sure you already had the investment in mind, but as always, make it stand out with the precise calculation, research, and cost utilization plan.

Tips for pitch deck design

17 Presentation Apps and PowerPoint Alternatives for 2024

Written by: Chloe West

presentation apps - header wide

If you’re putting together a new presentation, you’re likely looking for the perfect presentation apps to help you design, present and share it effectively.

Well, you’re in luck. We’ve put together a list of the best presentation apps for both desktop and mobile that can help you to seamlessly create and produce your presentation.

Plus, we’ve put together a list of pros and cons for each to help you determine which presentation apps will work best for you. After all, you don’t want to put on a boring and ugly presentation.

Jump into our list of 17 presentation apps. You’ll find desktop apps, mobile presentation apps and presentation apps for iPad. All are valuable PowerPoint alternatives to help you create and present a beautiful and engaging slideshow.

Putting together your presentation can be design and content-heavy. If you can, edit and produce multiple slides on mobile and do the heavy lifting on the computer or laptop. iPads are also good for the main part, depending on the app’s functionality. Use the mobile versions for smaller edits and presenting the slides to an audience.

presentation apps - Visme logo

Let’s start with Visme–the best app for presentations that empowers you to design beautiful presentation slides .

Visme is a cloud-based graphic design software that allows designers and non-designers alike to create beautiful and professional presentations, infographics, social media graphics and more.

It has millions of design assets, including stock photography and video, animated vector icons, data visualization tools, hundreds of fonts, and preset color themes. Visme also offers a vast range of templates for presentations of any style; slideshow, video or interactive.

When looking at presentation design, you also want to make sure you’re going to come out with a beautiful and engaging slideshow. With pre-designed templates and themes with hundreds of slide layouts to choose from, you’ll find the perfect design in Visme to fit your content.

What sets Visme apart from other presentation apps and software is that it’s not just a presentation-making tool ; it’s a full-scale content authoring platform.

The AI presentation maker enables you to create stunning and professional-looking presentations with a text prompt. With the AI text generator , you can create drafts for your presentation. The tool is handy for proofreading and other content-related tasks.

Your Visme presentation editor has a wide variety of features for making many types of content, from classic static designs that you can share or print to interactive digital experiences that can be collaborated on, shared and tracked .

If you're looking for apps for interactive presentations, Visme is also your best bet.

Try the various interactivity options , like hyperlinked elements, video embed, audio upload and recording features.

Learn more about creating a presentation in just five minutes by watching this video below:

  • Unblur and upscale images, remove unwanted backgrounds, erase and replace objects with the AI Edit tools .
  • Find design assets and create projects faster using the Visme Shortcuts.
  • The ability to present your slideshow online or download it as PDF, HTML5, or PPTX so you can present it without an internet connection.
  • Beautiful animation and transition options that won’t overwhelm your audience.
  • Brand kit and branded templates feature to help you store your brand elements for later use.
  • Organize your work, share custom templates and collaborate with other team members.
  • Manage roles, tasks, progress, deadlines and corrections all in one place with the workflow feature .
  • Use the Visme App on iPad and iPhone.
  • Track presentation performance with integrated analytics.
  • Master Layout helps create a presentation that carries a base design across all slides.
  • Create and store content blocks and slides to use across other presentations.

2. Google Slides

presentation apps - Google-slides

Everyone has heard of Google, right? So it’s no surprise that Google Slides is one of the more popular presentation apps and PowerPoint alternatives available.

But popular does not always mean best. While the service is free to any Google account holder, its slide layouts are basic at best and its design capabilities are extremely limited.

presentation apps - Google Slides home page

However, if you need a quick and to-the-point presentation, Google Slides can be a great option since it’s free and has next to no learning curve. If you’ve used PowerPoint, you know how to use Google Slides.

  • Free for anyone with a Google account.
  • Easy to use for creating a basic presentation.
  • Users can collaborate in real time and make comments and edits throughout the slides.
  • Integrate with all Google workspaces, including Google Meet.
  • Limited design capabilities.
  • Essentially a PowerPoint clone.

presentation apps - prezi

Another popular presentation app is Prezi. The main feature that Prezi is known for is allowing its users to easily create non-linear presentations.

This type of presentation can be highly engaging for your audience because instead of side-to-side transitions, you can create a pan and zoom effect each time you switch over to another slide.

presentation app - Prezi homepage

While this type of presentation can be a fun change of pace for your audience, Prezi’s slide design options are not very visually appealing, and non-linear presentations can still be created in many other presentation makers by linking slides.

Prezi templates are also an excellent starting point for creating stunning presentations.

  • Can create engaging and non-linear presentations.
  • Embed interactive elements like video and audio into your presentations.
  • Can only create non-linear presentations, which can actually cause motion sickness in some viewers.
  • Non-linear presentations can also be created in other presentation software, making the need for Prezi obsolete.

presentation apps - Canva

Canva is a well-known cloud-based graphic design software , but it's not too popular for presentations. While it still has the “capabilities” for presentation design, it's main focus is on social media graphics.

As a creative presentation app, it offers a few visually appealing slide templates and you can create designs in the correct presentation dimensions.

presentation app - Canva homepage

There are a few static chart options and Canva also has tons of graphic elements to choose from, such as photos, shapes and icons, so you can still create static presentations in their software.

  • Beautiful premade presentation templates to choose from.
  • Graphic elements like photos, shapes and icons to spice up your design.
  • No content blocks or slide library available to save larger pieces of content and reuse later.

5. Venngage

presentation apps - venngage

Venngage is first and foremost an infographic maker.

Similarly to Canva, they have added basic capabilities for creating presentations , but their design dashboard isn’t nearly as robust as some other presentation apps and software on this list.

While there are a number of presentation templates available for each of their plans, Venngage also doesn’t offer any type of animation or transition features for moving from slide to slide.

presentation app - Venngage homepage

When it comes to creating a presentation, Venngage is in the same boat as Canva. Both certainly can be used to create a presentation, but they aren’t ideal, and they don’t offer as many features as a presentation app meant for building slideshows.

  • Well-designed templates to get you started on your presentation design.
  • Icons and photos to choose from for use in your slideshow.
  • Not created with presentations in mind, so while it’s possible to create one, it’s not ideal.

6. Beautiful.ai

The Beautiful AI logo against a white background

Beautiful.ai is a presentation maker that was created to focus on presentation design, like Visme. But while it’s meant for creating presentations, it doesn’t offer full-range design capabilities.

Instead, you’re given eight different themes with about 60 slide layouts to choose from that keep elements snapped into place, regardless of how you might want to customize your slides.

presentation app - Beautiful.ai

While this software is a great way to “stay in the lines,” per se, with your presentation design, it doesn’t allow you to design your presentation the way you want. If you’re trying to create a slide that falls outside of their parameters, you’re stuck.

  • Visually appealing templates and slide layouts to choose from in your presentation.
  • Easy to use drag-and-drop editor that allows you to quickly slide your points around on your slide to re-order them.
  • Don’t have full-range design capabilities on your slide. You’re stuck only designing in the areas the software lets you design in.
  • No free plans. Basic plan starts at $12 a month.

7. Slidebean

presentation apps - slidebean

Slidebean advertises itself as an AI-powered presentation maker. It allows users to separate the content and design of its slides, inputting content in one section and adjusting the slide design in a separate area.

When creating a presentation in Slidebean, once you add your content into the text boxes, you can switch over to the design section and have their AI automatically assemble your content pieces around the page in a way that makes sense.

presentation app - Slidebean

You’re also able to refresh different AI designs until you find one that you like. Although this can be helpful for those who don’t really want to worry about their design, it is extremely limited, and they don’t have a lot of templates to choose from.

As one of the best business presentation apps, their templates also focus on startups and entrepreneurs , so if your presentation doesn’t have that focus, your selection is limited.

  • No need to worry about design at all.
  • It’s a comprehensive pitching tool for entrepreneurs, not just a presentation maker.
  • Doesn’t give you full range of design capabilities.
  • Has limited templates.

8. Infogram

presentation apps - infogram

Infogram is another cloud-based graphic design software that tries to do everything, including presentations, but really wasn’t built for that specific purpose.

There are less than 50 available premade templates and they aren’t very well designed. Redeeming qualities include the fact that animation and transition features are available, as well as data visualization tools .

presentation app - Infogram

While there are icons and photos to choose from, most of them are premium and not available for use in the free plan.

  • Animation and transitions available for your slideshows.
  • Charts and graphs to add into your slides.
  • Limited presentation templates available.
  • Many graphic elements are premium only.

9. Zoho Show

Presentation apps - Zoho Show logo

Looking for good presentation editing apps? Zoho Show is one you should take a look at.

Zoho Show is a presentation-making app from the Zoho family of Work and Business apps. What once was a simple presentation maker is now a full-fledged collaboration tool for making presentations with impact. Zoho presentations can be static or animated; the level of interactivity is up to you.

Presentation apps - Zoho Show home page

Create and share Show presentations on any Mac or PC plus device using iOS and Android operating systems. Zoho Show also has many integrations with other apps for better productivity. The minimalistic UI is a positive addition to the editor.

Use on any device. Mac, PC, iOS, Android. Large selection of premade templates for every industry. Available to create both online and offline. Lots of integrations.

It makes more sense to use the Zoho suite than Show on its own. You can’t buy just Show; subscriptions are for groups of apps. Not enough data visualization features.

10. Haiku Deck

presentation apps - Haiku

Haiku Deck is a web and mobile-based app that allows you to create and edit presentations. It works well for making some on-the-go edits to a presentation you’ve previously created.

Presentation apps - Haiku Deck home page

You can even download the app onto your smartphone or tablet to create full presentation decks straight from your mobile device. It also syncs presentations between your computer and phone apps, making it easy to create and edit in different areas.

The biggest caveat is that its presentation template design is outdated and not very pretty.

  • Syncs between your desktop and mobile apps, allowing you to create and edit in different areas.
  • Presentation templates are not professionally designed.
  • Design dashboard is outdated.

11. Keynote

presentation apps - keynote

Keynote is another presentation editing app that offers both desktop and mobile versions. It’s exclusively available for iOS smartphones, tablets and computers as it’s the Apple version of PowerPoint.

You can create presentations right on your mobile device and get them ready to present on your computer, which can be handy.

Presentation apps - Keynote home page

You can download the app from the Apple App Store for $9.99. It does come on most Macs and Macbooks automatically, but you’ll have to purchase it for your smartphone or tablet.

  • Allows you to create and edit presentations on both your mobile device and computer.
  • Keynote is designed for Mac. To use it on PC, you need a workaround.
  • Similar to PowerPoint, so it doesn’t really focus on the design of your presentation, just gives you the ability to create one.

12. Flowvella

presentation apps - Flowvella

Flowvella is a downloadable desktop and mobile app that allows you to create interactive presentations wherever and whenever you need to. While it’s a fast and efficient app, it lacks some of the features any good presentation needs.

Since it’s a downloadable app, users are able to work on their presentations without WiFi.

It creates an online link for you to present your slideshow from any device, and offers analytics for you to see who has viewed your presentation.

  • Has offline editing capabilities.
  • Has analytics for you to view presentation performance.
  • Used by museums for interactive displays.
  • Must have space on your phone or computer to download the app.
  • Simple technology with outdated features.

Presentation apps - Pitch logo

The app has integrations with other platforms like Chart Mogul and Brandfetch. Presentations on pro plans have analytics features and better image and video capabilities.

  • Lots of beautiful templates to choose from.
  • Pricing is affordable

Presentations are all you can create on Pitch.

14. Showpad

Presentation apps - Showpad logo

Showpad is another app that works well for sales teams. It allows users to put together various types of content and share it with a tablet user for them to scroll through and annotate.

This can be very useful for sales reps that are on the go with meetings and appointments , so they can easily share their screens with potential customers and walk them through the process.

Presentation apps - Showpad home page

The app is available on both Android and Apple devices, so there aren’t limitations to which smartphones and tablets will have access.

  • Can share and annotate various types of content on the go.
  • Caters to sales teams, so it isn’t an all-in-one presentation maker.

15. SlideShare

Presentation apps - Slideshare logo

LinkedIn’s SlideShare app is a great way to share and view presentation content on the go. You can create your presentation in any online software, like Visme , export it and upload it onto SlideShare.

You can then use the mobile app to share your presentation and help get the word out. You can also view other presentations and learn more about a certain topic.

How to Present your Mobile App

31 August 2021

presentation for mobile app

We work with clients daily to help them understand how their organization can benefit from offering a mobile app. Many times, the individuals who we work with must present the possibility of a mobile app to their organization before any decisions are made. See our step by step instructions to presenting a mobile app to a large group.

Why mobile apps are perfect for self-guided tours

For decades, museums and historic homes have rented out audio devices to visitors. Today, that’s no longer a viable solution. Visitors prefer to use their own devices for sanitary reasons. Plus, mobile devices offer a decentralized way for visitors to engage in content. They can enter different tours from various directions, and better space themselves out throughout the site. Mobile apps are also a great option for tour companies looking to build a new revenue stream that won’t be affected by external circumstances in the way that in-person tours are.

Tips for running the technical aspect of your mobile app presentation

Depending on what you need to get approved, you will need to include certain assets in your publication. You might include images and videos of your own custom app. With STQRY you can get started for free in order to create a small, initial version of your app, which you can then present to stakeholders for full approval. Or, you might want to add images and videos of competitors’ apps in order to show stakeholders the modern, self-guided tour experience that other companies are offering to their visitors.

Here are some technical tips for sourcing the examples and mockups for your presentation:

Record a video

There are several ways to capture a video of your app in action.

  • For iOS devices - iOS has a built in screen recorder (which we think is super easy and we use it ALL the time).  Here are the steps to adding the screen recorder to your control panel and how to take a video on your iOS device .
  • For Android devices - You can download one of the many screen recording apps to your Android device and then take your video. We suggest the AZ Screen Recorder. Check out the AZ Screen Recorder App for Android.
  • Use Reflector for any device -  Reflector is a program that you download to your computer (MAC or PC) and you connect your phone through airplay or google cast and reflector will record your video directly onto your computer.  It’s not free ($14.99 at time of publishing) but you can use reflector live in your presentation if you don’t want to show a video.

Take a Screenshot

Screenshots are an easy way to add visual content to your presentation slides.

  • Take a screenshot on iOS, or with Android. Because there are so many different types of Android devices, you might need to search how to take a screenshot for your specific model.
  • You might want to markup the screenshot in order to highlight features that are important to your organization. After taking a screenshot, iPhones immediately pop-up the screenshot editor so you can draw circles and errors.

How to display your videos and screenshots during the presentation

While you can add visual content to slides, sometimes you just want to go the simple route and display the content directly so it’s full size on the screen.

If you created the file on your phone, now you have to transfer the file to your computer so that you can display it.  You can use Dropbox, Google Drive or even through email to upload your file to your computer.

Now that you have your file on your computer, you will need to display your computer screen. You can connect your computer to the TV or projector with an HDMI cable. Or, you can connect a device with a technique called “mirroring” with Googlecast, Roku, or Apple TV.

Important content to present to validate the concept

When creating the slides for your mobile apps presentation, make sure that you address all of these key points:

  • Impact - Let stakeholders know about how the app will help offer self-guided tours, provide valuable information to more guests, digitize content and help with wayfinding.
  • Stability - Founded in 2006, STQRY is a well-established and stable company to build your mobile application with. Hundreds of museums, universities, parks, and tour guide companies maintain their app with our easy app builder. We can offer a long term solution.
  • Affordability - Stakeholders attending the presentation may not be aware that building an app with STQRY costs significantly less than if hiring a development agency to build it from scratch. Maintenance is more affordable as well. We manage all QA testing and bug fixing, and your team only needs to maintain it if you want to change or update your app’s content. Throughout building and maintenance, your team does not need to have any coding skills to work with STQRY. For the more technical aspects, like launching a branded native app in the app stores, our team handles that for you.
  • No long term contracts - STQRY clients are not forced into long term contracts and can choose to pay annually or monthly.

How to easily build your own mobile guide app

To build your own app, it’s smart to use an app-builder that doesn’t require custom coding. Look for a platform that offers interactive content, advanced geo-targeting and route features, support for all media formats, and the ability to create multiple tours and collections within a single app. It’s also important that the platform you choose offers options for launching: a web-app only, a branded native mobile app, or a native mobile app within the platform’s own app. This way, you can choose the option that fits your timeline and budget.

Start building your own mobile guide with STQRY.

9 best PowerPoint apps and tools for Android

Microsoft PowerPoint best PowerPoint apps and tools for Android

Presentation software is a powerful tool in the workplace. It’s especially true for PowerPoint, the most popular presentation software. It helps freshen up lectures, organize information in an easily deliverable way, and is generally accessible to most people. There are a lot of options as well. You can find presentation software on computers and smartphones.

Additionally, some tools make each platform easier. We have a bit of everything on this list. Here are the best PowerPoint apps and tools for Android.

The best PowerPoint apps and tools:

Andropen office, google home, google slides, microsoft powerpoint.

  • Remote desktop apps

Unified Remote

Price: Free / $12.99

AndrOpen Office is likely the best bet for Linux users. It fully supports OpenOffice file formats and includes Writer, Calc, and Impress. Impress is the presentation software. It can also read PowerPoint files as well. In terms of PowerPoint apps, it does pretty well. You can create a slideshow, add graphics, add text, and the basic stuff like that. The free version is more usable than the first free version of most paid software. The app also works perfectly with niche functions like Samsung DeX. It’s not quite as powerful as Microsoft PowerPoint, but it’s close enough for most people.

Price: Free / $2.99 per item

Clicker screenshot

Clicker works a lot like ASUS Remote Link. It lets you connect to your computer and use your phone as a presentation clicker. It also seems to work on Mac, Linux, Windows, iOS, and Android. That should cover just about everybody. In any case, the workflow for this one is pretty obvious. You create your PowerPoint on your computer, where you have full access to all of the tools. Then, you use this app to present the PowerPoint at your meeting. There is also remote trackpad functionality, Samsung S-Pen support, and space to keep notes for your speech. There aren’t many presentation clicker apps like this one, so it’s nice to see that at least one is really good.

Price: Free

Google Home screenshot 2022

Google Home is an out-of-the-box idea. You use it with a Chromecast to mirror your phone screen to a display. You can then use your phone to present your PowerPoint. This lets you work on your PowerPoint either on desktop or mobile. You must put the project on your mobile phone, use Google Home to mirror it, and begin your presentation. Chromecasts are small, easy to carry, and very easy to use. It lets you use the presentation space’s existing resources without carting in some extra equipment. Plus, the app is free.

Google Slides is the presentation app from the Google Drive office suite. It’s largely considered the top or at least second-best option in terms of PowerPoint apps. You can mess with your presentation on your phone or desktop via the web. Plus, Google Drive has live collaboration tools and many other features. Your presentation is stored in the cloud, so you can access and download it whenever you want. Plus, it can read, edit, and save PowerPoint files for excellent cross-product functionality. It’s also, far and away, the best free option available. That makes it great for students without access to a Microsoft Office account.

Price: Free / $9.99 per month

Microsoft PowerPoint screenshot 2022

Microsoft PowerPoint is the top one or two PowerPoint apps in the world. It’s so good that people refer to presentation apps as PowerPoint apps. The mobile version is more functional than its desktop equivalent, even if the desktop variant is more powerful. On top of the usual presentation features, the app also includes a Presenter Coach function to help you prepare for your speech. Luckily, Microsoft has adapted nicely to the times. You can start fresh or edit existing PowerPoint presentations that you started on your computer. The full functionality is available with an Office 365 subscription. The good news is the subscription unlocks both the desktop and mobile versions of PowerPoint with just a single subscription. You also get Microsoft OneDrive space to store and transport your PowerPoints.

Remote Desktop apps

Price: Free / Varies

Microsoft Remote Desktop screenshot 2021

Remote desktop apps are a slightly archaic but very functional method of presenting stuff. These apps let you connect directly to your desktop computer, mirroring everything on your mobile phone. There are usually tools to let you navigate around. Thus, you can connect to your computer and give a presentation straight from your phone without moving any files. You can also use these to work on your PowerPoints straight from your computer, so you don’t lose any functionality by being on a smartphone or tablet. We have Microsoft Remote Desktop linked since it covers most use cases, but others are available, too.

Price: Free / $1.99 per item

Unified Remote is another app that lets you control your computer remotely. It works a lot like the ASUS Remote Link. You connect to your computer and can use the app to navigate the UI, as a mouse and keyboard, and there is a built-in presentation setup. This one is different because it has dedicated “remotes” for many specific apps, like Google Chrome, Spotify, Winamp, and, you guessed it, Microsoft PowerPoint. Downloads are available for Windows, Mac, Linux (Debian and RPM distros), Raspberry Pi (ARMv6 and MIPS), and others. That makes it suitable for just about everybody.

Price: Free / $3.99 per month / $29.99 per year

WPS Office screenshot 2022

WPS Office is just one of many alternative office apps that double as PowerPoint apps. WPS Office has a writer, spreadsheet, and presentation function. The presentation function lets you read and edit PowerPoint files, so it’s a good start there. The app includes various layouts, animations, transitions, and other effects. Additionally, it lets you draw on slides or use a built-in digital laser pointer during your presentation, which is a nice little feature. WPS Office is free to use if you don’t mind the occasional annoying advertisement.

Zoho Show is one of the few reasonably good standalone PowerPoint apps. It’s not connected to an entire office suite, and it’s not a clicker or a remote desktop app. It’s an app dedicated to making presentations. It includes a bunch of stuff, including various types of charts, over 100 shapes, different formatting options, filters, animations, and other stuff. There are also templates to help you get started. It’s not quite as powerful as some competitors. At the time of this writing, the developers are still working on incorporating stuff like music into the app. However, this is an excellent alternative to Google Slides if you need a quick, free option.

Smartphone apps for presenters

Updated list:  31 of the best smartphone apps for presenters and professional speakers

We use our smartphones for just about everything.

From video-chatting with our loved ones when we are out of town, to popping virtual bubble wrap, there is an app for almost every imaginable need... including presenting.

Whether you're getting up in front of a class at your child’s next “ Bring-your-parent-to-school ” day or giving a TED Talk, there's an app that will help you get ready to take the stage.

Although none of the apps can get up on stage and do the presentation for you, the 21 tools we list in this article will help you practice and refine, getting you to the point where you can deliver great talks .

Apps for practicing

There is a fine line between over- and under-practicing your speech. Practice your talk until you know all your main points without hesitation, but still sound conversational and flexible. Below are 5 tools to help you practice your speech perfect.

Practice your talk until you know all your main points without hesitation, but still sound conversational and flexible.

Android | iOS

Most people use filler words like “um” and “ah” when they are speaking: however when on stage they can be very distracting to your audience. Download the Ummo app to get a handle on your “ums” and “ahs”. The app records your speech, then generates a transcript highlighting where you used filler words, so you can tackle omitting them from your future talks.

The next set of apps are teleprompters, varying prices, and functionality.

Teleprompter Apps

A teleprompter “prompts” you with a visual text of your presentation. It allows you to read the text word for word, ensuring a consistent and accurate speech, while maintaining the illusion of spontaneity.

A teleprompter “prompts” you with a visual text of your presentation. It allows you to read the text word for word, ensuring a consistent and accurate speech, while maintaining the illusion of spontaneity.

Three tips for using a teleprompter:

1. Run through: Although you don't need to memorize the entire script if you are reading the words for the first time while on stage, it will look obvious to your audience.

Practice using the teleprompter in tandem with light memorization. Write, revise and rehearse your script until it sounds easy and conversational.

2. Say it out-loud: Remember when you are practicing to speak out-loud: it will completely change your pace and help you decide which words in the sentence you need to emphasize, thing that are difficult to do when reading silently.

Saying the words aloud will help you narrow in on any difficult pronunciations, something you don’t want to stumble over while on stage.

3. Avoid ad-libbing: Try to stick to the script.

When you start ad-libbing, you risk going over your time and are more likely to use filler words, or start becoming repetitive.

If you intend to say it, write it into your script! Scripted presenters are more likely to monitor their pacing better, and their sessions are more likely to run on time.

If you intend to say it, write it into your script! Scripted presenters are more likely to monitor their pacing better, and their sessions are more likely to run on time.

2. iPrompt Pro

iPrompt Pro is one of the most intuitive teleprompting apps. It has a lot of options: from color choices to scrolling speeds. It also has in-app text editing and timing changes, which is ideal for making changes as you are practicing. Although there is some heavy advertising on the app (which can be quite tiresome) it is a low-cost, flexible app, which has a lot to offer.

3. Teleprompt +3

Teleprompt +3  is a simple and well-designed app that has incredible options that will help you practice your talk easily. The timer tools are very helpful for making sure your session runs on time, and tools like the audio and video recorder, rich text editor, and intuitive speed control helps you make your talk look and sound natural. This is one of the more expensive apps: but if you are looking for a tool that will go above and beyond your expectations for a teleprompter: this is it.

4.  Prompster

Prompster has a smoothly designed readable text for all sorts of audible presentations including talks, lectures, and sermons. You can create or import your documents, record your presentation (pro version) and share your talk with your audience via email. The onscreen controls allow you to set your text size and speed easily. If you are looking for a great tool to practice with, this is a tried and true app, voted iPhoneLife Magazine’s Best Public Speaking and Presentation App.

5.  Teleprompter Pro Lite

Teleprompter Pro (both Lite and Premium) are very responsive and easy to use. You can type in or import your talk, then select your font, text size, and pace. The app continuously highlights where you are in the script, so you won’t get lost. You can share your scripts on all of your devices: ideal for setting up your backup solutions. You can export .prompt files using AirDrop or email. The pro version also has a video recording function, which is perfect for watching your practices and making improvements.

Pace and Timing Apps

Timing can make or break a performance : as anyone who has sat in a session which has run 20 minutes knows.

Timing can make or break a performance: as anyone who has sat in a session which has run 20 minutes knows.

These next apps will help you manage your timing and pacing: from getting a good speaking rhythm down to countdown clocks: helping you simultaneously go with the flow and stay on time.

Normal conversational speech ranges between approximately 120-200 words per minute, and listening to someone speak outside of this range can be difficult.

For example, an auctioneer can speak upwards of 400 words per minute: but listening to you speak for 20 minutes in this range will befuddle and irritate your audience. On the other hand, speaking at less than 110 wpm can make your talk inch by for your audience, and they will most likely get bored.

Speech rate guidelines:

  • Slow: less than 110 wpm
  • Conversational: between 110 wpm and 160 wpm.
  • Fast: more than 160 wpm
  • Radio hosts and podcasters speak at 150-160 wpm.
  • Auctioneers and commentators speak between 250 to 400 wpm.

Using a metronome can help you set your pace. Don’t forget to vary your pace: keeping it too even will sound monotonous, so play around with your pacing until it is in the right range while still sounding natural.

6.   Metronome Beats

Metronome Beats has easy-to-use controls for increasing and decreasing the tempo in small increments. The visual beat indicators help you to keep track, and it is very easy to mute the metronome while visually monitoring your tempo.

7. Pro Metronome

Pro Metronome was created for all kinds of stage performers to improve their rhythm (think: musicians) but it is a fantastic app for public speakers who are working on their pacing. This app has a variety of ways to keep your tempo, from tempo screen color changes to vibrations and sounds.

Timers and Clocks

Being able to keep your talk on time is crucial: it keeps you from waffling on, and ensures that the whole event runs in a timely matter: but sometimes you lose track of how long you’ve been on stage.

Having a timer will help you keep your presentation flowing and on-time.

8. Amber Light Speech Timer

Modelled after a traffic light, to help you figure out where you are in your talk and how long you have left to hit your point home.  The green light displays when you are in the intro and body of your talk, the yellow for when you are getting close to the end and need to wrap it up, and red for when your time is up. The app is easy to use and allows you to custom set your time frames and change the alarm to a vibration if you are keeping it in your pocket onstage.

9. Toastmaster Timer

Originally designed for those who play the “Timer” in Toastmaster’s meetings, (the individual who signals to the speaker when it is time to wrap it up and finish) it is a superb free option for practicing with. The timer is simple to use, and has been designed specifically for speakers. It uses the traffic light system, but has slightly less customizable options.

10.  SpeakerClock

The SpeakerClock was inspired by the famous countdown clock that is used at the TED conferences. The LED-style countdown clock is easy to see, even at a distance so you are free to move around on stage. This app has a great design, and also includes a traffic light style feature that alerts you when it is time to get to the conclusion of your presentation.

While the above apps very practically help you get ready to be on stage, they don’t really address one of the hardest parts about speaking: stage fright .

Where a little bit of nervousness is normal, being wracked with anxiety can have detrimental effects and potentially ruin your talk.

Where a little bit of nervousness is normal, being wracked with anxiety can have detrimental effects and potentially ruin your talk.

These next few apps will help you manage your stress levels, and bring your heart level back down, making sure you get your message out clearly and confidently.

11. Confident Public Speaking Now

This app is part guided meditation, part stress-relief training. It offers meditation-style hypnosis sessions, like “Relax Completely” and “Total Relaxation in 10 minutes”, while also offering video interviews on what causes, and how to deal with, stress. It will ideally teach you how to enjoy the small dose of stress, and give you some tools on how to deal with anxiety effectively.

12.  Public Speaking by HiveBrain

Sometimes, all you need is some soothing, confidence-boosting words to get you in the right head space. Dr. Andrew Johnson's guided meditation/self-hypnosis program will help you relax and minimize the anxiety of speaking in front of crowds.

13. VirtualSpeech's Public Speaking

One of the most interesting new apps for public speakers helps you by putting you on a virtual stage. Upload your presentation, then practice in front of a fake interactive audience. The app requires a virtual headset, but its 3D, realistic looking scenario can be very helpful in getting a handle on being in front of a group.

The first section of this article looked at different apps that will help you practice and calm down before you get on stage: but what about when you are actually in front of the audience?

The next set of apps are all geared to helping you engage with you audience while on stage.

The 5 Best Presentation Apps for Mobile

  • By: Mimi Johnson

Building a presentation is easier than ever thanks to the best presentation apps available today. If you’ve got the right apps installed on your favorite device, you can craft your presentation from anywhere. We chose user-friendly, mobile-compatible options for some of the major concerns we see daily from presenters. Everything from taking notes, to designing slides, to sharing your final presentation can be done on mobile of you have the right tools. Let’s dive into the tools you’ll need in your presentation arsenal.

5 Apps you should download right now:

  • My QRcode Generator

Evernote for Content

Evernote is a note-taking and task management application that can be used for presentation content. It’s great as an initial information dumping ground, where you can put all of the important items you want to highlight. When you’re not at your desk and have a spontaneous thought, it’s easy to open the app and jot it down from anywhere. It’s among the best presentation apps because it makes creating and organizing digital notes really simple. Consistently using the same app for all of your notes will transform the task of outlining your presentation from daunting to delightful.

Canva for Design

Presenters worldwide are turning to Canva for its user-friendly templates. It’s a great choice for someone designing on the go. When thinking about the best presentation apps, we wanted to share one that helped visualize content. Canva was created for this purpose, and their professionally-designed templates are great in a pinch.

iStock for Photography

Having a bank of stock photography to pull from can be a blessing or a curse. Some stock photography can look really sterile or stale. However, libraries like iStock are increasingly more useful with realistic and beautiful photography options. While they likely won’t have candid photos of your team, searching iStock for metaphorical tie-ins or emotional photographs will help support your narrative.

My QRcode Generator for Access

Many presentations are not sent ahead or left behind–they’re given live. Therefore, the problem with hyperlinks in a live presentation is that they can fail you. Your audience could jot them down incorrectly or forget about them altogether. Now, chances are good that your audience members have a device–whether a phone or a tablet–that can read a QR code. We’ve encouraged a lot of our clients to create free QR codes using something like My QRcode Generator instead of hyperlinks. Usually, you’ll leave these on the screen after the presentation is finished or during a pause. This will allow your audience to go right to the intended link easily, and worry-free.

Dropbox to Share

An important consideration for presentations is that they tend to result in large file sizes. That’s why the last item on our best presentation apps list had to be a way to share large file sizes. We use Dropbox  every day both to receive and send presentations. We can create a folder ahead of time for a client to save to, then simply send them a link to the folder. Thankfully, Dropbox has a “preview” option where we can glance at a file from anywhere on mobile if we aren’t in the office. Having a plan in place for sending and receiving presentations takes the pressure off of last-minute edits and revisions.

All in all, we recommend having every tool available to you in your arsenal to make you the most well-rounded presenter imaginable. We enjoyed making this list of the best presentation apps for you, and hope you learned something new along the way. When it comes to presentations, we want you to tell your story effortlessly. These apps should help you engage your audience and turn boring presentations into boardroom home runs. Have questions? Reach out to us today!

How to Use Mobile Technology to Boost Business Presentation Engagement

  • How to Use Mobile Technology…

Mobile technology is changing the delivery of presentations, turning viewers into active participants. With everyone owning a smartphone, it is crucial to use these devices to boost the interactivity and memorability of your presentation.

There are several opportunities to attract viewers, from apps for immediate polling that collect feedback from audience members to QR codes linked to supporting materials. Each instrument not only brings in an element of fun but also provides insights into what the audience likes, enabling you to adjust your strategy instantly.

1.  Real-Time Polling and Surveys

The use of live polling and surveys in your business presentations can truly transform the level of engagement you achieve. With mobile applications such as Poll Everywhere or Slido, you are able to ask questions to which the audience can respond instantly.

These responses are then presented on screen, creating an interactive atmosphere that keeps viewers hooked to the ongoing discussions. Moreover, an instant feedback loop allows you to quickly grasp opinions, enhancing your ability to adjust and adapt the flow to please your viewers.

2.  Interactive Quizzes and Games

Adding quizzes and games sparks competition and thrill that makes any presentation more engaging. Use tools like Kahoot! or Quizizz to enable the audience to use their mobile phones and join in timed quizzes or enjoyable contests about the presentation topic. Doing so will make the occasion more memorable and ingrain what has been taught, guaranteeing that your presentation is remembered by everyone.

3.  Augmented Reality

AR has the ability to make your presentation more eye-catching. By utilizing mobile AR applications, you can project digital information onto the physical world. This makes complicated data easier to comprehend and substantially more appealing.

For example, an architect might employ AR technology by displaying how a specific building will appear within its actual surroundings directly through viewers’ phone screens. This will not only capture the attention of the audience, but also demonstrate the main points strongly and clearly.

4.  Supplementary Materials

Deliver extra material using a presentation platform and mobile technology to ensure that your presentation is more than a single occurrence. To do this, you can present QR codes on the screen during your talk, so the audience is able to scan and link to additional resources like reports, slide decks or bonus information.

This strategy prolongs the lifespan of your business presentation ensuring that listeners keep coming back for more. Furthermore, an ongoing involvement helps cement the connection between the presenter and their audience, turning your session into a useful asset rather than just a one-time event.

Utilizing mobile technology in your presentations is not just about making them interactive, it changes the entire dynamic. You are able to turn passive viewers into active participants in moments. The best part is that with live feedback, fun games, immersive augmented reality and access to extra materials guarantees that you become an authority that people truly want to listen to.

This further makes the impact of your message stronger guaranteeing that you will have a fully involved audience each time you decide to present.
