Position Summary

The Chief Growth Officer at National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) will play a crucial role in advancing NCJW’s mission and helping us strengthen, scale, and sustain our collective impact.

This dynamic and visionary leader will oversee our Communications, National Campaigns, and Development departments, leveraging deep expertise in communications, stakeholder engagement, campaign management, fundraising, and brand stewardship, to foster a cohesive message across multiple platforms and engage geographically diverse audiences.

A new role, the Chief Growth Officer role is an exciting opportunity to develop systems and programs during a critical moment of the organization’s growth and expansion, building on the strategic planning to execute comprehensive communications, marketing, campaign, and development strategies, aimed at increasing NCJW’s visibility across regional, national, and global audiences. This role is critical in creating a cohesive communications strategy, growing our network of engaged donors; and reaching, engaging, and mobilizing supporters.

The ideal candidate is values-driven, agile, curious, and excited to lead within our organization and tell the story of our impact of change across the country. The Chief Growth Officer reports to the CEO. This role may be based in Washington, DC or remote. C andidates outside of the DC Metro area can expect to be in the office 4-5 days a month.

Primary Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
• Establish clear overarching goals, strategy, roles, responsibilities, and metrics for the Communications, National Campaigns, Development departments and work with senior leaders across the organization to drive high performance and collaborative team culture.
• Serve as an expert advisor to the CEO, and collaborative member of the senior management team, as well as the organization’s internal and external stakeholders on all development, communications, and campaign matters.

Communications

• Oversee the creation of multi-faceted, cutting-edge communication strategies for NCJW, including traditional media and an ambitious digital, new and emerging media strategy to drive messaging to attract new audiences.
• Establish a cohesive brand for the organization to promote consistency, campaign growth, and visibility.
• Create a media strategy to accurately and swiftly identify, engage, and respond to trending news events, issues, and legislation of national importance, often requiring sensitive judgment calls in emerging issues affecting women, children, and families.
• Strategically allocate resources, including paid advertising spend, to drive impactful growth and brand recognition.
• Further develop the marketing capabilities of the organization, crafting a vision to implement scalable initiatives and practices to continue to accelerate the organization’s national growth. 
• Ensure streamlined messaging by centralizing all communications through the national organization, including local and state outreach efforts, and leveraging consistent CRM systems to enable data segmentation and improve messaging effectiveness for targeted audiences.
• Skilled in drafting and articulating compelling narratives that highlight organizational impact across diverse platforms and channels.  

Development

• Provide high level vision and leadership for all aspects of the fundraising program and integrate and elevate fundraising best practices across all levels and types of giving.
• Increase visibility and reach by building a broader base of support and deepening a high-touch, high-level donor program that stewards existing and new donors.
• Create a development strategy that drives increased fundraising revenue from donors, including and especially grassroots fundraising efforts, leveraging traditional development tactics and digital and paid strategies.
• Oversee the crafting of a high-level, inspiring annual impact report that demonstrates key metrics and achievements.

Campaign Strategy

• Determine the pedagogy for NCJW’s campaign strategy that includes current and future campaigns and related strategy.
• Develop and implement comprehensive and consistent national and regional messaging and campaign systems with a focus on education, mobilization, and advocacy, aiming to maximize impact and sustainability.
• Build on current campaigns and execute new campaign strategies to drive engagement, enhance NCJW’s visibility, attract new advocates, build partnerships, drive fundraising, and make an impact on the issue.

Key Qualifications 

• 15+ years of experience in communications, fundraising, marketing, and/or consulting and building and leading successful teams and projects, with at least 5+ years of progressive senior leadership experience
• Proven success in developing and implementing fundraising plans at scale
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills. Experience in strategic visioning, goal setting, and evaluation
• Significant experience working with, overseeing cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Supervisory experience, including coaching and/or mentorship
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team
• Excellent listening and relationship-building skills
• Passion for NCJW’s mission
• Willingness to travel
• Prior experience with Jewish communal or progressive issue-based organization(s) preferred

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $180,000-$220,000 — commensurate with experience.

Paid Federal and Jewish Holidays.

Judicial Information Services Department Organizational Profile:

Position Summary:  As a member of the Judicial Information Services Department (JISD) Leadership Team, the Deputy Chief Information Officer of Infrastructure is responsible for leading and managing all technology infrastructure, including people, processes, and technology. Our technology infrastructure is a key foundational function within the organization and as such will work closely with our support, application, project management, and security teams in providing reliable services and in the identification and rollout of new services to meet emerging needs.

Supervision Received:  The Deputy Chief Information Officer for Infrastructure reports to the First Deputy Chief Information Officer and receives general direction in performing duties in accordance with established guidelines.

Major Duties:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight of network, systems, applications, and data center services. • Work closely with the CIO, First Deputy, and other departmental leaders to plan, strategize, and ensure key initiatives are developed and completed. • Working with JISD leadership, set direction and vision for support for third-party, on premise, and cloud applications and services. • Research current and new industry trends, technologies, and practices to ensure the continued optimization of our resources. • Identify opportunities for improvements, expansion, and/or reduction of services that meet the changing needs of the Judiciary. Operational • Execute the implementation of storage, compute, and network-related projects and services. • Provide effective management and oversight of infrastructure-related service providers. • Working with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), ensure mitigation of security vulnerabilities and risks across managed systems, applications, and services. • Develop, maintain and monitor effective operation processes to prevent failures of infrastructure, systems, applications and services. • Promote and use a data driven approach within its group to drive understanding and improvements within areas of responsibilities. • Develop and drive a technical community across the organization that fosters innovation, agile design and test methodology, flexible teaming, knowledge sharing and talent development. Planning • Collaborate with other JISD teams as appropriate to develop and design the most appropriate technology & service deliverables. • Support, and follow project management practices set by the PMO. • Responsible for defining the enterprise architecture and technology review process. • Working with JISD Leadership in the planning, implementation, and documentation of disaster recovery and business continuity efforts; ensuring that organizational data is managed, archived, and stored securely. • Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of IT. Managerial • Hire, supervise, develop, evaluate, mentor and coach staff. • Cultivate a positive environment of continual learning and growth for team members. • Model good partnering within JISD through proactive outreach and information sharing with other teams and the promotion of cross team work. • Support the continued evolution of the whole department through active participation the department meetings and other JISD wide events. Budgetary • Develop, track, and control the annual infrastructure operating budget to ensure the sustainability of our systems.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field and 7 years of experience as an information technology professional, including 5 years in a senior IT management role with progressive management and technical responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Qualifications and Skills
• Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Information Technology or similar program from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent collaboration skills and strong commitment to transparency, openness, and continuous improvement.
• Significant experience overseeing the management and maintenance of sophisticated networks.
